At about 11am yesterday morning, I sat down with a stack of labels and started affixing them to the padded mailers I’m using to ship the books, and separating them into domestic orders and international orders. At about 4am this morning, I finally finished.
So today I get to sit down with the international orders and start filling out customs slips, which is going to be a serious pain in the ass.
I’m doing this because I’m trying to get as much work done on the shipping process as I can before the books get here, so that when they do, I can get them out as quickly as possible. This also means that after a couple of fairly relaxing weeks, I’m kicking myself into overdrive again. So as it was while I was working really hard on the book those last few days, I’m going to be really busy for a while.
If you did not pre-order the book, you will still be able to buy it. You can go into your local comic shop or book store and have them order it for you out of Previews magazine. Or, you can wait and order it directly from me. I’ll be putting the book back up for sale sometime in July I imagine.
I am not going to put the book back up for sale until all of the pre-orders have shipped, and I’ve taken a short break to regroup. Although I should have the book soon, there is no way I’m going to start taking new orders until I’ve handled this pile in front of me. Pre-orders are my priority right now. The people who pre-ordered were gracious enough to pay for their books weeks in advance, making this book not only possible, but a phenomonal success, and giving CAD such a huge leg-up. I want to make sure they don’t have to wait for their books one day longer than they have to.
I will have the book with me at ConnectiCon and Otakon, as well as some new shirt designs, and hopefully a new poster design.
