Last year I hosted a Marissa’s Bunny to help raise awareness for Infantile Spasms, an epileptic condition. I still keep the bunny in my office as a reminder. Over the weekend I got an email from Marissa’s dad, who told me that Marissa has taken a turn for the worse and is in need of a surgery that will hopefully contain some of the seizures. It’s a dangerous and costly procedure that isn’t a cure, but rather another step towards improving Marissa’s quality of life.
