Stupendiferous!

Well, Chef Brian has been on the shelf for about four months now. I figured it was about time he made another appearance. There are a few reasons for this.

Chef Brian has a very large cult following. A very large VOCAL cult following, as evidenced by the mass amounts of email I get asking for more of him. Chef Brian is the sort of thing that must be used sparingly, and with great care, so I am unable to give his fans as much of his as they would no doubt like. However, he does have fans, and as such they must be appeased. If for no other reason than so I can stop hearing about it for a week or two.

Over a year ago I turned to Brian and said “You know, I want to try a little Chef Brian storyline”. Here I am, a year later, and I’m finally going to give it a shot. Why now, finally? Well, I’m moving next week, and so I need to get a bunch of comics drawn in advance, so there are no missed updates while I disappear from the internet for a few days. Chef Brian allows me to just be silly, which is fairly easy for me to do. This is an experiment. A Chef Brian storyline may work, it may not. Only one way to find out.

I also chose to do this now because I am beginning to take pre-orders for the new Limited Edition Chef Brian t-shirt.

This is a concept I picked up from Rich. I’m going to start offering certain shirt designs for a limited time only, and then they will disappear. The benefit of this is that it will allow me to offer a bunch of different ideas and designs, without having to worry about keeping a large inventory. It also allows you guys to pick up shirts that will quickly become collectables. *Note- this is not going to happen with every shirt I carry. Many designs will be permanant additions to the store when it re-opens.

So I am pleased to introduce you to my first experiment with this new system, the “Carrot Skull” t-shirt.

I will take orders for this shirt until Wednesday September 29th. The shirts will then be printing while I’m in the middle of moving, and will ship sometime in the middle of October.
