I still got a Magnavox Odyssey II, a C64 & Amiga, Sega Genesis (with 32x), a Saturn, a Dreamcast and a couple of PlayStation 1s cluttering up the apartment with lots of games for each. I really should sell some of it. Never owned a Jaguar though.

E.T. wasn’t worse than other Atari games that came out around 1981…83; not saying that it was a particularly good game, it couldn’t be. But it wasn’t so terrible that it alone can be held responsible for ending Atari (and with it the first video game industry generation). Video games in 1983 were an overhyped bubble that had to burst in any case, E.T. was the needle that did it (or else some other needle would have done that). ZK better be careful. While he’s discovered the joys of video games, he’s likely to fall prey to Tabletop Gaming, where his advanced AI cant protect him from the wrath of RNGeesus, poor cooperative skills, and being unable to top-deck.

So. Zeke wants to get into retro-gaming. That’ll end up telling him a lot more about his own history than that of Humans, I suppose. Wonder how he’ll feel about discovering that his own technology was obsolete 6 months after he was fabricated?
