I tweeted about this a short while back, but Brian Wood, a lead developer at Relic on the Company of Heroes franchise was killed in a terrible car accident a week ago. His last act was to swerve his vehicle to put himself between the oncoming car, and his pregnant wife. He was killed, but his wife and child survived.

His friends and family have set up a memorial trust to help his family in the wake of their loss.

I got a lot of enjoyment out of Company of Heroes, and while I didn’t know Brian, I am still sad that the industry has lost such a talented developer. I wish his family all the strength in the world as they cope with losing a loved one.
