That’s not a proper way to leave the room!

Getting thrown outside like that could eaisly risk their identity getting out. They could let people see him here and go down that road, or what if Lilith re-enters the plot here? Or there could be an army of x-bots outside that window, cant wait to find out 🙂
Huh. Surprisingly nice of Zeke to aim for the shoulder rather than the throat. I’d dismiss that as an aiming error, but he isn’t controlled by a human hand, this is all A.I., I doubt he can miss his mark at this distance.
I don’t want to jump to conclusions but could this be a slight flicker of resistance? He can’t disobey orders coming from a man with a killswitch, sure, but just a tiny bit of sabotage that could slip unnoticed…
It clearly isn’t his intention to kill or he would’ve done it then and there, inside that room.
He knows very well that Lucas is quick enough to flick out an arrow underneath him to avoid falling to his death.
He is launching throwing stars out of his forearm without and of of sights or visual sensors attached to the arm, so they may not they may not be the most accurate of weapons. But, I guess when you’re building a ninja robot to bring down technological advancement, you try to stay on theme regardless of what’s most practical (e.g., guns).
With two visual sensors and a mechanical arm that could have perfect angular tracking, there’s no reason why an arm-mounted weapon would ever be inaccurate. You have knowledge of exact distance and direction and can calculate the required trajectory based on the distance between the eyes and the launcher.
However, it’s fiction and Lucas has some heavy plot armour that I don’t personally expect to be broken any time soon. Most likely Tim just didn’t think of the robot as being perfectly accurate.
Considering how terrible and fragile the general mook bots are, I would be entirely unsurprised if the inventor had done a similarly shoddy job of installing Zeke’s star launcher and it doesn’t shoot very straight.

ooooh and yet another rookie mistake from the metal ninja! He KNOWS Lucas can fly. This just gives him a chance to relocate and take the fight back to comfortable conditions. The judge is gonna dock him points for that one, Johnny!
Sure lets throw the guy who uses his powers to fly out a window. Thats sure to finish him off. Zeke better be trying to subtly sabotage his masters plans because otherwise that goes beyond a rookie mistake.

Calling it now, someone on Zeke’s side is gonna say “What, how?”

Lucas could get more and more severe cuts from crashing through the window than from the stars. Looks cool in the movies, is quite terrible in real life. A cut of the jugular, while not extremely likely, is actually possible. Plus, glass shards are particularly hard to find and to remove. Hope he’s got SuperHealing, or SuperLuck.

Lucas’s left shoulder is reflected in Zeke’s cameras; that’s some amazing attention to detail.
This is getting pretty metal.
I see what you did there.
Looks like Ezekiel is running on “SNK” mode.
if that were the case, wouldn’t HE be the one falling off the bulding?
Hadoken!

Deploy floating arrows!

Not sure what the next step is though ?
Did you already forget two strips ago? It is quite clearly his intention to kill Lucas. That’s why he said Lucas will stay dead when they kill him.

Yup, he can deploy a floating arrow…
…right where everyone can see him. Say hello to public identity!
It’s like the middle of the night, no?
*shrug* Some cities have night-lives.
There’s a yellow patch on Lucas’ shirt in the fourth panel. Is that a colouring error? It doesn’t show up in subsequent panels.
It’s blood reflecting the yellow light from the arrow.
That’s his blood getting lit up by the arrow. The bad kind of shiny.
You know, old Tim would have ended this segment of the comic right here and made us wait 6 months. lol
Dont do that lol

And upon even more closer inspection, the window is sliding around the wall in relation to the bed. Oh well.
