The switch to RTX happened when they added ray tracing support.
Pity you decided to change it in the dialogue. Keeping it with the mistake (if it was there) would be way more authentic, given how Lucas is a long-time gamer. Ah well… Can’t have your cake and eat it, I guess.
In the moment, maybe, while most of us are still used to GTX. But ten/fifteen years from now it would just be an error, like “He’s staring right at the box, why is he calling it a GTX?”
I’m more impressed that it got delivered in time. Shoutout to all the delivery service employees doing their best to deal with the Christmas rush, the pandemic, and in the northeast the 3′ of snow we got last week.
I just upgraded mine to the GTX 1070 in order to upgrade the graphics, and extra RAM to give it better speed, after upgrading to Windows 10.
And the motherfucker still crashes at random. Never buy a PC off Ebay.
Computers and parts of them are one of the things I’d never by on Ebay.
You can’t know if something is wrong with it, or what the previous owner has done to it.
Especially with graphics cards. A lot of the ones sold on Ebay were used as bitcoin mining devices and are being sold because they’ve been overused.
Wait, did you mean you upgraded *from* a GTX 1070? Because if you upgraded *to* a GTX 1070, you just bought a 4-year-old mid-range GPU, probably for far too much money.
If Prime has just done the W10 upgrade, and bought the card off Ebay, a GTX 1070 is probably not too expensive and still a viable choice.
My gaming box was last seriously upgraded about 3 years ago an I’m still running everything on the same hardware. Although it is getting to the time to rip out and replace a few parts again…

I must say: I have no clue what ‘bot using to snag’ means at all. And google trad didnt help me.
So everyone’s using bots (that’s a type of computer program) to snag (get, purchase, buy, acquire, obtain) a card. Bot is faster than human, so it can buy a card microseconds after it becomes available

There are bots (as described above) that will scan a large number of retailers over and over and complete several transactions, as well as ones that allow the person to cut to the front of the online purchasing queue (Sony is doing queues) and buy as many as they want despite limits.

…its just very sad that by now, even in their own dreams AMD is still behind Nvidia…
