Heh I’m betting the troll could actually be quite fun right now. He can’t speak so to be able to go there and tell him what you think and he can’t respond? Priceless. He’d practically explode with frustration.
I bet she’d just threaten to until Lucas points out that outing him also outs her as an attempted murderer and something tells me she would not want to go to jail
Honestly, I think having her as another hero would be an interesting twist. Given how vulnerable he felt as a mortal AND since it was known that the Troll was still a threat to him, having an undercover hero playing bodyguard with one of ‘those’ nerds would make it a fun twist, especially as she would likely have known the entire time the truth. I suspect Nicole would be HER alias and not her true identity… That or she was a Troll plant, because she was too much of an exact opposite for Ethan making him even more miserable would… Read more »
I guess i’m confused how Nicole could be a hero? Since well she’s showed nothing that would be heroic up till now? Maybe a nice idea in another story way but for what we’ve seen till this point wouldnt make sense i’d say
I also at first was on the whole troll agent, but now I’m thinking more and more she’s just an asshole person in a side story arc that Tim’s made. I could be wrong yet, but i’m almost sure i’m not
She does remind me of one of the big Super heroines that we’ve seen once or twice as far as her face goes that had a similarly…not quite arrogant, but more dominating? possibly stand-offish? (okay, maybe arrogant)…personality like Nicole displays towards Ethan that was displayed towards Analog & D-Pad.
It would a pretty interesting twist to see happen.
The scary thing about Nicole is that she exists in real life, in many varieties. She doesn’t even need to be a troll plant; her impact will be felt for the rest of the comic’s run.
I feel like plot twisting her to be a troll plant would actually DIMINISH her impact and legitimacy. What I could MORE see is her becoming the stalker ex, she finds out their alter egos, and joins Troll’s network to get revenge on him. Even going as far as to drink the serum so she can become a super herself.
I have a feeling that she’ll become another nemesis supervillain for Ethan

I’m not sure if anyone’s predicted this, but I think Nicole is going to turn out to be (or this will cause her to become) a villain called “Gaslighter”, a Harley Quinn to the Troll’s Joker.

I’d be more excited to face the troll again than have THAT conversation

Given what she’s trying to pull off, I’d consider it fully justified if Ethan just ghosted Nicole to avoid as much of the drama as he can – but she knows where he works and he can’t quit his own store, so that unfortunately will not work.

‘It’s not you, it’s me.’
*Suicides by defenestration.
*Respawns after she leaves.
*Denies everything but the breakup after seeing her again as all in her head.
This is great.I love that they had that conversation. And even when it is understandable that Lucas has a life it is true that perhaps he could have been more supportive of Ethan when he lost his powers. Clearly, it is not on him but I understand that he feels he could have done more. Ethan was not in the right place.

There’s a part of me that hopes for an anticlimax. He goes to break up with her, gives a long empathic speech about how he was manipulated, gaslight, taken advantage of, blah blah blah, and she’s all like “Cool whatever I’ve moved on.” And Ethan’s all like “What, am I not good enough?!”

So trolling the troll? 😀 I a part of me likes that!
Why do I have this sinking feeling she will “kill” Ethan and out his identity?

That’s so messed up. But it would be HILARIOUS.
