is it not logical to keep a log of ways he’s already died? maybe he has a ranking for how painful/sudden it was as well. maybe next time he’ll do a flip

So if he fell into a death pit like a well…. would he just appear in the bottom of the well and have to get extracted? or would he appear at the mouth, like a good checkpoint? If he can control how far he reappears from his body, he could sneak around. but having his body vanish in front of her is a problem.
the only real way out is to walk up with a grenade taped to his hand and asking her if she wants to see a magic trick and yank the pin.
So far he always respawned where he was, so probably at the bottom of the pit. But it could depend on the cause of death. He respawns in his last healthy state. If he got injured by the fall, the ability might determine that respawning at the bottom is unhealthy and place him outside. If he fell in without hurting himself, but died of starvation / dehydration, he’d probably respawn at the bottom.
I’ve noticed he actually doesn’t respawn EXACTLY where he dies. Usually it seems to be because someone is standing right there – can’t occupy the same space. So he usually respawns behind or next to his killer. Like it’s a rough approximation of where he last was instead of an exact one, making his respawns a little unpredictable.
when he fought those criminals before deathblood showed up, ethan seemed to control where he could respawn. if i recall correctly at one point in the fight a criminal shotguns him, but before he can move or turn, ethan respawns behind the guy, gets him with a taser and says “yea, kind of a dick move, isnt it?”
Not always where he was. Remember the drug den he stumbled on?

I liked that it was assumed he might be learning from this whole serum arc to not abuse his powers, but no – back to comfort deaths we go.
That being said: It is probably preferable to confrontation. It might be hard to sustain if they both keep living on the same city, though

Ethan successfully persuading Nicole to go therapy somehow. To acknowledge she’s being manipulative, cruel and selfish, and to work on that.
There’s probably no way that’s going to happen – it’s far more likely she’ll scream how he’s doing what every other guy in her life has done, that he’s used her for his ‘fun’ and is abandoning her, etc, without ever self reflecting – but I can dream 😝

I might recommend making the main page show the free date and not the upload date. I’ve been an avid reader for years now, but I got very confused when I noticed yesterday’s page is dated “May 1st”, despite the fact I knew this page went up on July 13th. It just… makes it look like the comic hasn’t updated in a while… and is going to continue to get progressively further back in time. In a year from now, it’ll look to new readers like the comic hasn’t updated in a year. Not exactly what you want new readers… Read more »

If the well is full of water, he could drown at the bottom. Respawn in the water, and then drown again. Like a bad save state.
oh yeah, this idea definitely screams bad save state to me. Maybe even respawning mid-fall.
