They’re nice, reasonable, and it seems like they’re good people.
I’m immediately suspicious.

Considering they have a connection to police AND a journalist, I think this is a fairly bad idea for both sides. Not terrible, but when you have trolls on your ass it’s not a great weakpoint to add.

I see no downsides. On the worse case, they can just leave. It doesn’t sound like this membership can force them to do anything..
The only problem I can predict is if they do something strictly illegal or immoral (is Bloodshot in the group?) so they’ll have to act against them. But then again, it’s a possibility even if they reject.
one potential downside is Ben – he’s already keeping a secret on Lucas’ part from his superiors, now Lucas is either gonna have to go back to lying about how many supers he’s in contact with or Ben is gonna have to lie to his superiors even more
It might just be a mutual benefit to Lucas/Ben that “hey the less we know about each other’s jobs, the better”. Ben needs plausible deniability, and Lucas could use the backup so he won’t need to rely on Ben as much for help.
All Ben needs to know is that Lucas knows some other supers that might help. That’s not even a far reach when they’ve already had help from other supers against the Troll.
I don’t think that makes much difference; the only real secret Ben is keeping is Analog and D-Pad’s identities, and that he’s working with D-Pad. And it’s already a known fact that A&D sometimes work with other supers, as we see with Gameboy. The only way it could lead to more secrets is if Lucas found out the identities of one of the people in this group (besides Amy, whose identity doesn’t seem to be a secret).
Until some of the group does something quite questionable or even illegal and well, you can’t leave knowing that…

A super secret hideout in the city probably costs a lot of money, both to get it and to upkeep it. I like this “group chat Vigilante Hero support idea”, it feels very realistic for heroes with no or not much budget. ^^
“Well, you see, budgets are still tight, so instead of a full hideout, we just meet under the 4th bridge by the river. Do make sure to count, bridge five is raccoon territory. We don’t go there, not since the incident.”

A LARP / gaming convention being a front for a Superhero meeting would be rad as hell. The civilians would say “cool costume”, but those in the know…

Is that hinting, that Ethan is looking for a GAME CAVE?

I mean, if they *did* have some super secret hideout, they’d only tell you *after you joined up properly, otherwise it wouldn’t be a secret for very long

i wonder if they’ll ask Game Boy about this. He’s basically their unofficial sometimes-sidekick at this point.

Is it just me or does anyone else want to see Rorschach’s “blotches” on the Lunar Warden’s face?

So what are the chances of an Ethan-Amy thing happening and it falling out because of the tentacles or something?
Low, I think, personally. Going purely off appearances, Amy looks a bit too much like Emily with a beanie and tentacles + a side of Lucas’s eyes and Carlie’s jawline.
…plus, for all we know, Drath’zul the Remorseless is just using Amy as a host, and the tentacles can come off and are their own separate creature… which, given he was with Nicole, Ethan might also end up dating. Being clingy alone wasn’t a deal-breaker for him without manipulation and controlling behavior added to the mix, after all. Heck, tentacles might be a plus in his book.

Interestingly, Replica also doesn’t have a mask. Though depending on how his powers work it’s possible his face is fake.
