Speaking of Sam, They should really talk to him about this, and the Lunar Warden too.
I know he’s not officially part of their team, but he’s pretty close. Might be an idea to keep him in the loop.

Their character design makes me expect they’ll turn out to be evil in a few arcs. Lunar Warden could absolutely be drawn to look sinister. Cthulhu tentacles as well. And trying to escape leading to Ethan being pinned down (not killed) by dozens of duplicates would be imposing. I hope they stay friends, but a betrayal would work well as well and that’s what I’m eventually expecting.
