We’ve moved the remaining Volume One books to a new (better) distributor, and they are now available for purchase again. And to celebrate, I’ve made four new shirt designs (and revamped an old one). It should all be live today in the store, though they didn’t tell me what time exactly. So if it’s not there when you look… check again later.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done shirts, mostly because I never feel quite certain what you want to wear.
I will say, typically SharkRobot does not keep shirt designs around forever unless they turn out to be particularly popular. So if you fancy any of these shirts, I recommend jumping on them sooner rather than later, because who knows if there will be a later. Not me, they don’t tell me anything.
This would be a good time for Ethan to direct people to his own store.
Agreed. Announce that the game is available down the street, clear out the store, and then hand over the box. Doing the right thing has its rewards.
Good chance they don’t have much more than their pre orders
Well it’s a good thing they happened to get an extra box. 😛
I don’t think so, one of the issues they have is because they aren’t a big chain store they don’t offer any pre-order bonuses.
Next frame shows Ethan slowly backing out the store to ‘patiently’ wait his turn at the back of the ever growing crowd/line of disgruntled customers……
Must say that the “I’m falling behind” is what makes me… don’t hate, but strongly dislike the competitive world the online PvP is…when you just want to play and enjoy
that is why I only enjoy pvp where you dont have to farm to win. I stopped wow pvp a long time ago for this reason….
I hear you about grinding and farming, between that and the trollers that’d get an assassin character and pick on the noobs and camp on their corpse.
Yeah, as someone who got started with WinQuake, I hate the degree to which PvP games have polarized into sweaty tryhards and people who DGAF.
Competitive I can get behind. The problem is the RPG mechanics every FPS shoves in now. That means joining the game late and not playing it constantly leaves you behind in not just skill but in abilities as your ganked by someone with far superior firepower and body armor while you are stuck with the shitty starter rifle.
The reason for the RPG mechanics is to get people to pay money to skip the grind and get the stuff you need to play.
Ah the good old “create a problem, then sell its solution” way of making money. God I hate it when profits is the only thing driving development.
Cause the game is gonna be good enough to want to love it, but so heavily laiden with microtransactions or long pointless grinding youll end up hating it.
“now beg for your merch” lmao
Well, technically, he did bring the box to the store.
“[…] , and they are not available for purchase again.”
That should be “now” I believe / hope? 🙂
I do hope that’s a typo. It would be awfully cruel to make an announcement. “Hey! You want CAD Volume 1? Tough Luck!”
The FOMO people… I can’t understand them. I can’t play any game for too long, if it gets repetitive, I go for the next game. If I miss some digital clump of pixels, I just acknowledge it and move on 🙂
It’s not FOMO, it’s an addiction. The sooner we realize this, the sooner we can stop companies like ActivisionBlizzard, but also Alcohol producers, from ruining folks. Nothing wrong with making a game, or drinking something from time to time. But the hunt for “whales” has ruined so many lives, while we look the other way and point to drug dealers instead. Recognizing addiction is the first step of many for a healthy society. (No, I don’t mean everybody has to go sober, but to recognize the problems and helping folks and limiting impulses, that we know are addictive, from being… Read more »
Psychology teaches us that addiction is a personal thing. Sure, companies do A LOT of things to make their products more addictive. And they’re SO F*CKIN’ GOOD AT IT, they could probably lessen widespread issues like car accidents if they tried. Marketing clearly has an unparalleled understanding of the collective human mind *shudders* BUT it takes an individual that has a tendency to addictions, to become an addict in the first place. And there’s almost nothing their psyches cannot turn into an addiction, really. Just aiming at the product is thus a very limited approach, when the root cause is… Read more »
Whenever you hear people talking about going after the whales, remember that real whale hunting isn’t exactly catch and release, and the whale rarely has a pleasant experience in that exchange.
Modern whale hunters may not be using boats and harpoons anymore, but make no mistake, they are hunting whales. And it will end the whales life.
Ah, the signs of addiction and how companies like ActivisionBlizzard abused it “I’m falling behind!”.
We’ve moved the remaining Volume One books to a new (better) distributor, and they are not available for purchase again
Shouldn’t it say
We’ve moved the remaining Volume One books to a new (better) distributor, and they are now available for purchase again
???????
I prefer single player games. Local co-op is fine, more fun that way. Like the good old days of playing Mario Cart with a sibling or friend. Or arcade games like TMNT in time. Me and sister had so much playing through that together through all the difficulties.
Off topic
I’m just more disappointed that I can’t afford a new system with all the new releases coming out on them.
Anywho I disgraced there.
I want more co-op multi, survive together
‘Your flight is delayed, please enjoy our duty free services for a short while longer’
I’ve never liked games like Fortnight or PubG, too much hacking and micro-transaction cheating for my taste. Co-op isn’t so bad, but I’ll take a decent RPG any day, still hate the grinding…
Ethan, enjoy! Nothing more satisfying than watching your rival squirm.Just wait for the impending riot to start and run up and save the day, so to speak.
Do you want to get a new supervillain, Ethan? Because this is how you get supervillains.
Oh, I think Ethan would be ecstatic if Thad ended up becoming a villain – gives him the excuse to punch the guy’s face in with no pesky moral dilemmas getting in the way.
Course, Ethan would die and respawn three times in the process of delivering that one punch
Ethan, you are my hero.
And lo on this day, ye who walk the path of the righteous shalt see the suffering of those who do not. Rejoice in thine victory over those lessers who were ill prepared for their masses and gather them to you.
HI ROB! ? Good to see you back!

(And now I feel old as I’ve been reading since day 1…)
I wonder who else will be making an appearance in this series?
Careful, Ethan. If you get too cocky, it could seem like you diverted their shipment on purpose, and that would kill your joy real fast.
If I was Ethan I wouldn’t announce that I have the things they want right there in the lobby of the store. Because they’ll probably all dive on him and he’ll end up having to respawn from being crushed under a mass of gamer
Ah the sweet, sweet taste of karmic justice.
Of course what’s actually gonna happen is. They’ll accuse him of stealing it
