I imagine the conversation would begin with ‘how would Megagame be protecting its stock’ and somehow the suggestion to move everything into one location came up. Which would be fucking stupid since instead of having to hit every Megagame, you only need to trace where the stock is coming from to essentially sink the entire company.
Actually now thinking about it, the entire plotline becomes a little bit silly because if Elijiah actually wanted to do something about the video game industry, why is he attacking the middlemen instead of game devs?
the plotline is silly if we are assuming it is Elijah. it could be a copycat. it isnt that hard to mimic a spray paint grafitti if you seen it before, and last time they talked to him, he went from spray painting the stores with the poison trafficker tag to putting up flyers with it. he listened to them about how it was a person who took his brother, not a video game, and while he still is against games, he went a more legal-ish route with flyers with the poison trafficker design on it. and anyone who has one… Read more »
The only people that are assuming its Elijah are Ethan and Lucas (and by extension, you, the audience), because they’re the only ones with the information necessary to connect the dots to someone with super powers.
From their standpoint, obviously the point is to bait him to a single location.
Absent specific insight into the nature of the threat, and from a corporate standpoint, I don’t think it’s hard to see why 10 security guards protecting one location would seem safer/more efficient than 10 security guards spread across 10 locations.
“why is he attacking the middlemen instead of game devs?” – Elijah wanted for people to see how the games (and guns) are harmful and shouldn’t be sold etc.
Hence targeting the shops, highly visible targets where regular people frequent.
If he tagged a developer’s office, probably not many people would hear about it, they’d have the graffiti cleaned up and that’d probably be it.
While the same graffiti on the stores all over the city is much more visible.
Don’t know about the person now killing people (who might or might not be Elijah).
Remember people think this is just some random murderer, and not the superpowered speed guy Elijah. Of course that’s maybe not a practical assumption in this city.
Large business people do things for different reasons. To them it is not about protecting the stock.
It is about looking like they care and are the good guys. No one knows they are so nice if they keep it a secret.

Why do I have a strong suspicion Ethan’s next mission’s gearset includes popcorn?
What’s the point of moving it if you’re just going to announce it?
And if they haven’t said where it is, how are A&D gonna find it?
Shareholders meeting. Legally they’re the only people the company isn’t allowed to lie to and if someone brought it up a reporter’s gonna print it.
They can’t lie about moving it to a central facility, but they don’t have to say where that facility is

Also they might not be expecting a super who can just sit in the meetings or something.
