I think the Xbox New-Zeke was built from red-ringed before Kinect was a thing; there’s nothing saying Kinect was apart of his design regardless. Besides, Kinect’s vision bathes everything in dots (invisible to human eyes), not pixels. The size and relative distance of these dots (big dots are close, small are far away) are what enables Kinect to track objects in 3D space.
Surprisingly it was used in a lot of applications outside of Xbox Games…Besides Xbox games as spatial awareness in cameras was being further developed.

I can imagine Zeke performing all the glory kills he can on Ethan once he’s set loose
That would be hilarious if we see Zeke get free and repeatedly glory kills Ethan with the E1M1 song playing through his speakers while Lucas and Scott sit there eating popcorn and watching.
Afterwards, we’d see Zeke in a bed with Ethan’s dead body sitting there with a cigarette in his hand like he was there in post coitus. Then Ethan’s body would disappear and he would respawn later.

Half expected fore there to be a hardware reset switch behind there to reset his movement subroutines.
I’m imagining somewhere between the two. Closer to VEGA from the recent DOOM games.

Awww Ethan’s growing on him. Since it’s a robot, it would have used 2/3 for accuracy, which means it only found 66% instead of 66.666…7%, which could mean that he’s starting to view Ethan as a friend.
