If the Organisation didn’t use a straw man I don’t think that Emily is the mastermind.

While I doubt it is Emily, the picture on the screen means nothing; there was no movement or a proper face shown so it could have easily been a static image/loop of someone else. The true villain could be easily a male or a female or even something else…like, I don’t know, a penguin?
she is a kepper ethan for she is crazy enough to want to still go on the date even after all that just happened. and maybe the next one rachel will get to join them at last

Hm, there is one this I didn’t noticed until now. This is the first comic strip where Emily and Rachel have green eyes. In every comicstrip before there eyes where black and white.
She has green eyes in some previous strips as well. Whether I add the color depends on whether the art is large enough in a particular panel for it to even be noticeable.
And if we ever get a really close zoom-in to her face, you’ll be able to see the faint “X” imprint on her iris, confirming that she’s the Microsoft version of the T-800 and ready to kill them all with one word from Zeke.

You know, I was kind of wondering why Emily was taking Ethan’s freaking out so well. It’s like, at some point that would start to get, if not irritating, but a little unattractive. But if she can identify herself as *just* as nervous as Mr. Lucas-Is-My-Food-Taster, that kind of implies a lot about her. Like, it’s kind of likely that she’s been hurt before, possibly by someone with an opposite personality. Maybe she as well is afraid of getting back into dating. wow, that comment from Rachel really made this more relateable. i had a couple friends who “needed some sweet” in the same implied way.
they are together now and actually moved in with eachother in less than a month (which is not advised, but it worked out this time.) They’ve been together for almost 2 years now.
You aware that both may feel to be socially awkward, possibly on loner/introvert (extrovert person is enjoying situation with multiple people (even strangers) introvert dislikes such situation, especially with strangers) side so getting in date situation with person they barely know much about but hold interest towards is situation to be nervous about for them-

Holy carp, if Andrew was anymore chill, you could sharpen his head and use him for a javelin.
Contact-cringe would have killed me were I on this train wreck of social awkwardness, but not Andrew; hands in pockets, he’s still laaaaid well back.
Andrew’s actually an automaton; he was made by a local roboticist to see what would happen. He is unable to do more than minor gestures and has a fairly shallow Chat AI. He also goes “bzzzt” and deactivates if he showers. Incredible driver though.
