I think I’ve read and seen too much media because all I’m seeing is a “Psych! Now all the hostages are horribly maimed and it’s all your fault!” coming down the pipe.
Or the Troll will attempt to “drop” it then blame Ethan, or there’s also a timer (I’ve seen it done in Legend of Korra series, the guy with a bomb had both a dead man’s switch and a timer on the bomb – it makes sense, if they somehow disable the switch, the bomb may still go off).
Or, haven’t seen anyone guess this yet, when the deadman’s is released it triggers a bomb under the Troll’s hoodie that splashes Ethan with all that green goo they showed off.
Boo!, but I think the Troll does have a backup plan but he probably is genuinely getting mad but he probably has a backup plan for if Analog does play along to try and make him look guilty.
My guess, the slime is another troll. No way for him to know for sure how to take Analog’s powers. He’s going to mess with him and claim he did it. And what can Analog do? Can’t exactly test it without dying.

The Troll is trying to counter-countertroll Analog’s countertrolling.
Let’s see how that goes for him.

Well, it was nice to think that Analog could do anything to avoid this moment, but it’s clear that whatever he’d do, it’s end in a finely planned disaster. Did he activated the bomb? Did the Troll did it? Soon in Ethan internal drama.
Might say that while the troll is definitely not very damaged (still have face, eyes, most of the teeth, full body functions. Some people lose way more even without mysterious chemicals), the facial expressions do look odd, like the Troll still needs some physiotherapy to do. I wonder if it’s intentional or I’m imagining stuff.

Honestly, my money is on the ‘hostages’ all being the other Trolls, with his plan having been to create a legion of Trolls his final plan to bring the world down. If Ethan gave in and killed him then thousands more would rise to take his place. But if something like this happened then the result would be the same, thousands more rising to break Ethan where he alone failed. You can never win against a troll, and killing one just means more take their place. Trying to ignore them just attracts more as well, so in the end your… Read more »
I mean… literal internet trolls don’t actually DIE when they’re “defeated.” I think actual death as a consequence would cause most wannabe super villain trolls to just return to their computers.

Oh, THAT’S the game! There never were any hostages, that “deadman’s switch” is a bomb filled with that green ooze and he’s trying to get Ethan to take it so it’ll blow up in his hands and bathe him in it.
I can’t remember, does The Troll know about Ethan’s power? Because unless that ooze stops Ethan from respawning, making him share The Troll’s fate will be a very short-lived victory.
Yeah it’s the vial NOT a switch, troll was hoping he’d do something evil to “force” him to hand it over just to have it pop in his hand, plus “reveling” Analog’s “true” nature. This whole mess is to make Ethan look just like the troll… And be shocked when screaming and moaning Ethan falls off the roof to “die” only to come right back in perfect health to arrest him.

It is obviously a trap to let go of it and blame Ethan for it like he did blame him for dropping him from the roof. Best course of action is to do nothing cause he is obsessed with trolling he cant let go of the trigger cause it would just be plain murder

Get up, take a step forward. Trip on cape, twist around to fall backwards off roof top making it look like the Troll pushed him.
Cue flying deadman’s switch in 3…2…1…
I think I’ve read and seen too much media because all I’m seeing is a “Psych! Now all the hostages are horribly maimed and it’s all your fault!” coming down the pipe.
Ya, my guess is theres another trigger he has and after passing it off he will try to trigger it with that.

…I think this might be the first time anyone’s used Varrick as an example of sensible decision making. Ever.
Who is playing who here? I still think that the Troll is in complete control of this situation.
Don’t you mean controll?

It took me a moment, but I see what you did there.
That’s no deadman’s switch
That’s why Analog will take it. Best troll ever.
Disguised syringe? I’m picturing the kind that pokes needles on all sides like a pufferfish.
i doubt this guy’s on par with clyde shelton
But would it do anything to someone whose best Healthcare is a 9 mil?
I guess it is the green slime with a detonator.
Mark my word !
What’s this green slime people are always talking about? I don’t remember that
Heres the relevant page: https://cad-comic.com/comic/infernal-demons-p25/

im surprised nobody has made jokes and linked like TMNT or Joker.

You’ve always got another knife, Carcer…
But can he get a hard-boiled egg before the morning arrives?
GNU Sir Terry Pratchett
A lot of similarity between the two!
