So interestingly enough, it seems my caching problem has begun to resolve itself. Using the ctrl f5 function the first few times seemed to only work for the day, but both Monday and today’s comics have now loaded fine and normal.

This is a case of the GM hijacking the story because he wants to upgrade his character. He goes and gets Cake hurt, and the only way to heal Cake is to bring the party to the one place where the healer can get his awesome spell.
