Puns and tomfoolery aside; The artwork of 4 as she prepares to roll is very well done. You convey the character’s emotion and an interesting dynamic pose to make a memorable moment.
Agreed. I generally don’t like throwing words like “perfect” around, but it really does seem like Tim perfected his style over the many MANY years he’s being doing this thing.

Way less murdery than I’m used to.
Thats a goofy face someone pulls just before they’re about to roll a dice with a lot riding on it. Theyre really concentrating on the outcome theyre hoping for, in the hope that it might work. They arent concentrating on their face so they pull their mouth into a wierd shape. Theyre hunched forward invested in what theyre doing, the shoulders are tense… one more pun to appease the comedy gods…

There is a phenomenon in motorcycle racing called target fixation. Where the rider knows they need to turn, but seem unable to do so.
I definitely think we are witnessing something similar to target fixation in those last 2 panels.

Man, brings back memories of my old gaming group. We used to go off the rails in the exact same way – one guy showing off his new swag, another accusing him of cheating, animal sacrifice and rolling poultry, and the GM not stepping in to bring people back on topic. Those were the days.
