The Starcaster Chronicles, 10.00

July 20, 2022 by Tim

Alright, whelp, it’s that time again. I’ve been pushing it off, but I need to take a little break and recharge. I’ve got a bunch of projects waiting for me around the house, and I want to be available for my kids on their summer vacation, so “Starcaster Issue #10, activate!”

You can go here, to this archive if you want to refresh on previous issues/where we left off. As a reminder, Starcaster pages update daily Monday through Friday. If you’ve read ahead because you’re a Starcaster Patron, please avoid spoilers in the comments.

Nothing like a good officer going rogue.

I bet the break is going to be doubly effective while the little ones are on summer vacation. Like your previous comic suggested, the presence of the kids in the house can break your concentration all on it’s own.

I really wish I could do this in my job. But alas it’s not possible. Enjoy the break!

Geez, I’ve got to go back and read at least the last issue to remind myself where the story is going.

Hell, I might go reread all of them, 10 issues seems reasonable.

Whooo, more Starcaster! My favorite up there with analog and d-pad.

Isn’t this the series that used to be a “choose your own adventure”? I went back to the beginning to see, but if it WAS that style, the panels have been edited to remove it, which makes sense for the archive.

I believe it still is, for Patreon subscribers (Patrons?), but I could be wrong.

Yeah patrons still get to vote (see https://cad-comic.com/comic/the-starcaster-chronicles-09-12/)

I don’t think it happens as regularly now it’s a patron-only thing?

Although I’m sad that you no longer allow public votes on the story, it totally makes sense because of the extra work involved.

I don’t regret putting the money toward your Patreon, though. ?

I imagine the Starcaster story with the Space Ghost Coast to Coast theme song

I am deeply, morally offended that [CURRENT STORYLINE] is now showing up on this website. I allegedly love every other thing this author writes, but [CURRENT STORYLINE] is the absolute worst, and as a non-paying customer who has others create professional-level entertainment for my amusement, I’m going to complain loudly that this isn’t [DIFFERENT STORYLINE]. Maybe Unpaid Artist will get the hint and make some more quality content, like Sillies.

Eldest bringing the zing before the trolls do. I like it.
The sad thing is, you hit the nail exactly on the head for how those folks talk.
Anyways, enjoy issue 10, folks!

FTFY ? Also SO true. I wish less people would complain.

I remember something about working with a colorer for these series, but I cannot remember if it’s the thing of the past

Woo! More Starcaster! As much as I want to see what happens with Scott and Zeke, I’ve been looking forward to this

It took a good bit, but I went back and re-read issues 1-9. I really enjoy this storyline, and am always glad to see it make its annual/semi-annual appearance.
