The previously-on-Patreon stories are usually daily, rather than the normal schedule.

OK, so this isn’t really related to this specific isuse, but…Would there be any possibility of adding a second “back” button? When the comics are part of an ongoing series (like the Starcaster Chronicles) the “previous” button takes you back to the last page of that series – which is great for reasing back where this story had gone and stuff! But for those of us only checking maybe once a week, it makes it troublesome to go back to yesterday’s comic. One going “yesterday” and one “previously on Starcaster Chronicles” would be ideal.

Maybe the nav left and right of the page could navigate in the storyline, and the buttons above and below navigate in the timeline (at least the prev/next)

You can use the archive button and select ‘All’ to quickly see what you missed.

Thanks for the clarity but can I ask why does it work that way on the main page but not if you are in the comic page? The buttons look the exact same but act differently depending if you are on the main page or just happened to click on the image to read the comic. It’s a very minor nit but consistency would be appreciated. Having said that, it’s really not a terrible inconvenience to go “oh crap i forgot” and restart from the main page. Also want to add while I’m here, after almost 20 years of reading… Read more »

I would love a rehaul. I personally really don’t like how the comic is all loaded on one page, instead of moving between different sites — on mobile, if I accidentally hit random or otherwise decide I want to go back to the previous comic, I’ll use my back button, which will take me off the site entirely and lose wherever I was. I do appreciate the ability to stay in a series, though — maybe just have a second forward/backward pair for chronological vs. series, and let the entire thing go between actual webpages regardless of which you choose?

For me, CAD is just one of two left. XKCD is the other masterpiece.

The others all started to get repetitive or extremely annoying after a while (looking at LFG here, which was both).

CAD has just gotten better and better. And it’s still getting better.

I’ve been a CAD & XKCD fan for years, myself! Never really found sticking interest in others.

If i may ask a site related question. Are you aware the front page “join the conversation” bit at the bottom is a bit broken? If one press specifically on the “Click here” part. the part will collapse and take you to the page with the comments, but if you mis-click anywhere else. It will collapse the part and not do anything. Denying one the ability to go to comments without reloading the page first so the prompt is there again. It has been an issue for as long as i remember. On every kind of browser and without any… Read more »

I never knew, thanks. No visual difference between the butons is a bit weird, but hey, at least the functionality for both is there, so, awesome (y)

My solution to this is to subscribe to the RSS feed, and view them oldest first. That way I always have a direct link to each comic I’ve missed, in order.

Getting spoiled with stuff like this, is why CAD is one of the few sites on my adblock white-list.

instead of getting the cover and 4 comics, he gives us the cover, and we get 5 comics. It might feel like a tease, but its pretty smart this way. Get us excited for a new adventure at the start of our week.

YAAY! Haven’t seen these guys in a while!

But then again, we got a lot of Analog and DPad, who are great as well, so no complaints from me.
