You may recall, Zeke found Eugene and took control of the robo Ninjas. It is unlikely that Zeke would “save” Ethan from them.
If he did, that would mean either he lost control of them, or was going for some sort of deceit to make him look heroic. I don’t think either of those fit.
I think it’s more Zeke using his ninja Army to prevent Ethan from either defending himself or killing himself (because keep in mind there’s very little chance that Zeke knows that Ethan believes he lost his powers, and immobilizing Ethan is the only real way to stop Ethan’s superpower).
If you mean ‘not kill him’ with the robots: that would be weird. It serves no purpose to Zeke, who still thinks Ethan would respawn, giving Ethan time to escape or fight. Not to mention that Zeke can have many resons not to kill. He remembers dying is always painful, and might not want to kill all humans (yet). In addition, stealth can become hard if you start killing indiscriminately. If you mean ‘coming along and saving Ethan of the drones’: unlikely. The drones are near certainly under Zeke’s (intermittent?) control. Keep in mind the drones normally are equipped with… Read more »

My guess is that Eugene is dead and Zeke has taken over the army.
I mean, on the one hand… yeah, even if he’s afraid, probably don’t shout “don’t hurt me, I’m mortal!” and announce your weakness to your enemy. XD Especially an enemy that has previously purposefully not killed you because they know you’ll just respawn. Additionally though, Ethan’s fear of his mortality right now stems from the fact that he’s hyper-focusing on it. He didn’t have to think about it for so long, and now that he does, he’s really overthinking it. He hasn’t been without his powers long enough for his state of mind to fundamentally shift, or to override his… Read more »
Very true, Ethan has always been very single-minded about things, to the point of risking his life/health. The wintereemas “gaming chamber” and the self-refilling box of cereal comes to mind…
Not really, he’s mostly reasoning from the current known situation of Ethan (likely) not having them. That might not be actually true, but that’s just speculation. (And whether they would actually still work or not, Ethan not willing to chance it means he’s without them regardless.)
Probably more like muscle memory. I’ve fought with robots before and this is how it goes. Not enough time yet to remember his situation is different now.

Ethan doesn’t know that Zeke took them over, this may just be an act to protect himself from Ethan, to give him the talk he’s wanting. As far as Scott goes, Zeke has no way of knowing he doesn’t have some device on him to deactivate their selves or the minions. So Ethan getting out and away from Scott was the right idea.
Which is ironic because Zeke likewise doesn’t know that Ethan’s superpowers may have been taken away from him (or at least that’s what Ethan believes). I think you’re spot on on this, and I believe that Zeke is doing this to prevent him from respawning.

K, everyone is mentioning that ZK has beaten Eugene and I can’t remember this… Does anybody know the arc/page where we saw for certain Eugene and ZK back together?
I see many people confused about facts in the comic. In case you haven’t read, or simply forgotten in the many years this has been running, there is an archive feature on the top of the page. You can select only Analog and Dpad and reread every single comic (that is not patreon and optional). Should answer many questions I see in the comments.
Don’t have Zeke save him 🤦♂️

Exactly. It’s an overplayed trope on top of it. Dunno why all the down votes. Lol.

If I’d built a robot army I’d install more than one failsafe……So odds are Eugene has probably retaken control of Zeke

We know for a fact he took over the army. Dead, Maybe.
Ah, you’re right. It’s been a while since that chapter, so I forgot.
Turns out it’s the latter. Though I bet Zeke’s their master now
You see, he is terrified of cars and heights, but deadly robots? Na, got bored of them already. Take me to your leader and all of that
He probably is faking it, trying not to let Eugene know he can’t respawn
Eugene would also want the robots to not kill Ethan, no? Since then Ethan would respawn out-of-grapple.

Did Tim just confirm that the Troll’s serum worked and that Ethan did in fact lose his powers?

Yabee, kore ga osoroshii da zo…! …I identify with Eugene too well.
uh oh, secret identity exposed maybe?
not that the mask did much granted.
I don’t remember the exact comic, but I vaguely recall, that Eugene already discovered their identities?
The secret was already known to master, who blackmailed them into not persuing him.
And Zeke had seen all their faces, so… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
By a finger print when Ethan accidentally tripped an officer and not the gangster fleeing from the officer.
Maybe Zeke will blow up Ethan’s head. Taste of his own medicine. We get to figure out if he lost his powers or not.
Does “The Master” know Ethan’s identity? If not, random non-hero knowing that would be kind of an oopsie.
He sure does. https://cad-comic.com/comic/breakfast-p6/

Yes it has been long running and there are a lot of comics. You can read them but can you find the right one to read?
