Based on previous lore what we know is that there are people like Captain Prime who are government assigned protectors, they are just police officers that happen to have powers. As for everyone else there are Vigilante laws. Which basically from what we have been told basically are allowed to stop criminals but they are fully responsible for whatever happens while doing it. Anyone can be a vigilante as long as they follow the rules, the government doesn’t keep track of or anything like that. It’s just a “As long as they are doing more good than harm we ignore… Read more »

ok so at the very least he doesn’t seem to be a syndrome character. Doesn’t clear him to be their plucky sidekick eventually or in that same vein a Bucky character. I’m thinking the symbolism Bucky had before the Winter Soldier although I suppose that’s an eventual possibility.
nonetheless, it seems a bit obvious the kids gonna be a moral lesson who dies or becomes some form of enemy either villainy or like that military hero woman
Those are more likely but the question is when? This arc? The next? will he be a recurring character for now or “join” the main cast as a regular at GameHaven?

It’s not that retro, it’s only 30…. years… old….
I need to go lie down now.
You need to lie down? I was playing Star Trek on a DEC 10 in ’74. That young whippersnapper better get off my Game Grid! (Star Trek ran in 9k of memory so it was restricted to running between 10 PM – 6 AM because of the drain on the CompuServ resources).

Ethan, just keep your mouth shut, smile and nod, and you could be the head of a Video Game Avengers group to make even Captain Prime… well, not envious, but at least take notice.

I knew the kid was under 18 but damn that’s young. Is that even allowed under the vigilante law? I kinda hope we continue seeing the kid and him becoming a sidekick of Ethan who learns more responsibility this way and can teach the “padawan” all about the old ways of gaming.^^

The interesting part here is that “Game Boy” has the better abilities to stop criminals (especially when we see how the gluebomb worked in the last part). Ethans problem is really that besides the part of being immortal (or at least has extralives) he is a herotype like Batman or Ironman, needing his equipment while Lucas can use his powers. Let’s think of “Game Boys” Powers against most villans Analog & D-Pad faced. We don’t know if the power works against robots, but most other villans would have been stopped in a better way On the other hand. The Ability… Read more »

I’m surprised you didn’t make the kid “The Dark Fortnite”.
Don’t diss the Cape!!
Does the words “vintage” and “retro” even have an actual meaning these days – besides to those who understand their meaning?
Also I get the feeling there is very little regulation on superheroes in that town and/or country.
