I really hope Lucas jumps in here because we’re already seeing signs that Ethan is just going to accept all of this shit, and I actually kind of hate this writing because while it’s very accurate as to how stuff happens in real life (maybe that’s WHY I hate it so much), I want to think Ethan is better than this.

For that to work, he’d pretty much have to quit his job and start a whole new life somewhere else with a new identity and wear a disguise every day. The real answer is to nip this in the bud: Tell her this relationship is NOT working, they need to go their separate ways, and that she needs to leave him alone and stop calling and texting him.

This situation happens on a daily basis to untold hundreds, thousands, possibly millions of people. It’s infinitely easier to believe than super heroes. That’s why people hate this arc so much…she is what a real-life supervillain looks like.
Im 44 and I never seen something like this. Literally never. I’ve seen worse (aka violence, betrayal, leaving someone pregnant, etc) but that kind of horrpr: absolutely never.
Ethan should use the “We were on a break!” line. It worked great for Ross!
