When your best friend is a danger to himself but you don’t need to worry (yet) because he can respawn after dying (for now). xD I wonder why Ethan just not asked Scott to make him a Dorito feeding machine, like a robot arm around his chest that calculates the distant between the dorito bowl and Ethan’s mouth and feeds him accordingly to the times he chews and swallows measured through a tape on the throat. Like that would work so well as support of his Winter-eeen-mas training I thought he would do that first. And ofc it would work… Read more »
So does he continue to age while healthy? I mean is he going to eventually be 100+ and then just gets to a point where his body fails and he keeps respawning back to that point again and again, in some horrible ground hog day scenario? That power seems so cool now, but it seems like he is going to pay for it someday.
I think Tim has answered that, in a way? He won’t spawn “back to the point”, but to the latest point before his aging started to have drastical impact on his body, losing about 10-15 years, depending on which organ failed this time. Eventualy, unless he finds a way to reset his karma and reach nirvana, he will be doomend to eternity of 10-15 years-long lives in his body…
Could he go out and get blind drunk (thus having negative effects on body) and to save himself the hangover…. Seems a bit frivolous for a super power mind you.

I’d almost wager that Ethan calculated how long it will take for him to reach suboptimal gaming skill, added the time it takes to respawn, and has arranged for his timely death at these intervals.

Hard to picture someone like Ethan having any friends. His stupidity makes him, at times, rather unlikable. Gratingly so. I’d have locked him in a safe and dumped it in the ocean so he could spend eternity drowning to death in a dark coffin.
Gives a whole new twist to “If you just kill him, he won’t learn nothing!”

I would be willing to pay for the damaged books that you mentioned a few comments ago, would that be an option? What is the extent of the damage? I really really want some of these books!!

“Joystick” training. Nice one. Then he’d go blind and not be able to compete.
If he goes blind he just has to kill himself. xD
Lucas is probably saving fortunes by not having a cable subscription because Ethan is all the comic relief you’d ever need in your life XD
Yes, but what if, Lucas, Ethan only has 30 lives?
Something tells me he’s already died more than 30 times lol
So, it has previosuly been speculated on how ethans respawn work. This is another instance of that:
If he dies of starvation, at witch state of his starvation will be respawn?
..what is his “save-point”?
Ethan’s respawns to his last “full health” state.
So he would respawn in the condition he was in the moment before the lack of food starting having actual, negative effects on his body.
So does he continue to age while healthy? I mean is he going to eventually be 100+ and then just gets to a point where his body fails and he keeps respawning back to that point again and again, in some horrible ground hog day scenario? That’ll work for me.
What is considered “Full Health”?

Maybe that’s a bit extreme…
