ConnectiCon in Hartford Connecticut is in just a few short weeks. I’ll be there, along with Brian “Likes To Drive Tanks Into The Water” Clevinger and Scott “I’ll Go Out To Dinner With Anybody” Ramsoomair. ConnectiCon is shaping up to be quite the hot summer event.
First of all, they’re moving to the brand new Hartford Convention center which was just built, and they’ll be the first event ever to take place there. And it is pretty damned nice.
There will be tons of cool guests, including myself and the aforementioned webcomic stars. The new Harry Potter book comes out that weekend, and they will be holding a Harry Potter Release Party where you can reserve your book ahead of time, and pick it up at midnight the day it comes out at the convention!
There will be tons of screenings, and workshops, and a new version of the Webcomic Challenge, which Ctrl+Alt+Del won last year. I’m going to be putting together a team for it again this year, but I’ll make that a separate newspost.
Also, myself and other webcomic guests are going to be auctioned off in a charity event to benefit the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. You’ll be able to bid on the chance to have dinner with your favorite webcomic artist.
I’ll have a few panels, and of course I’ll be in the dealers room to talk to fans and sign whatever swag we have available.
Today and tomorrow are the last days to pre-register for the convention. You can get your all-weekend pass for $10 less than what you would pay at the door. And I did the artwork for the All-Weekend Badge.
