I know a lot of people use some variation of an adblocker software, and while I certainly won’t begrudge anyone that choice, ads are the primary way a website like mine stays in business. This is what I do for a living after all, it’s how I feed my family, so it’s hard to be entirely ambivalent towards the use of adblockers, but I do understand their appeal.
With that said, if you like the work I do here, it would be appreciated if you would consider white-listing my website. Ads are a passive way to support the comic, and we do make concerted efforts to police/cultivate the types of ads we serve. Occasionally an obnoxious one slips through (mostly via mobile, they are incredibly hard to pin down), but when reported to us we do our best to block/remove it from the rotation.
However, barring that, you could support us on Patreon for as little as $1 a month ($12 a year). I keep a roof over my head, and you keep not seeing ads. Everyone is happy!
I was happily browsing your site on Chrome for Android, but the ads kept auto-opening the google store to try and make me download some random apps, or displaying pop-up messages claiming that I needed to download flash which were clearly attempts to make me download something else.
As a result I switched to the adblock browser and the issues stopped. You may want to reconsider the kind of ads that appear on mobile if you don’t want people to use adblockers.
