Now that the holidays are behind us, it’s time to kick Digital Overload announcements into full gear. With just two short months until our milestone 5th anniversary event, we’ll all be gathered together for a weekend of gaming before you know it!

We’re back in Providence, Rhode Island for our fifth year in a row, at the wonderful Rhode Island convention center.

If you haven’t secured your accomodations yet, don’t forget that the Hilton has special rates for Digital Overload attendees. Additionally, sharing rooms with friends is a great way to cut down travel and lodging costs!

Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be announcing all of our official tournaments for the 2010 event, followed by a schedule and sign-ups. But before we finalize out tournament decisions, we’d love to hear from you! What tournaments and rules/setups would you like to see hosted at Digital Overload 2010?

A Gamer all-weekend pass gives you total access at the event. You can bring your consoles or computers, and you are eligible to participate in all tournaments and contests.

We also now offer a Tabletop badge for those games that wish to come take part in our expanded space for war games such as Warmachine and Warhammer, card games like Magic, and the huge library of board games we have on hand. Your Tabletop badge also allows you entry into all Tabletop tournaments (including our very popular event-wide Project: Assassination meta game).

As always, we do offer Spectator badges at the door (and online in advance this year), but they do not include any tournament/contest participation, or the option to enter/leave the hall with equipment or personal belongings.

Finally, I do need to stress that there are limited tickets available, and a huge chunk of them were sold immediately following our 2009 event. If you haven’t secured your ticket yet, consider doing so soon! Registration is online-only, and will close on February 24th. You don’t want to miss out on the biggest and best Digital Overload yet!

And don’t forget to follow Digital Overload on Twitter, for all the latest announcements leading up to the event, and even live updates and coverage during the event itself!
