EU Book Orders

February 10, 2017 by Tim

Note: Over half of the books going overseas are now spoken for, fyi.

I’ve received enough interest in shipping a pallet of books over to the EU that I believe it’s worth doing. So with that said, let’s get the ball rolling.

In the last post I pointed out that shipping one of these heavy books from the US to the EU costs over $200 (book + shipping), and that if we send them as a group we can lower that shipping cost significantly ($135 to Germany and $145 to rest of the EU). By putting them on a boat instead of an airplane, we can lower that cost even further. It will take a little bit longer for them to reach the EU, but I’m going to start the process now, while we work on this next part.

So the first step is to start collecting more concrete commitments from people that want the books in the EU, because we’re only sending a limited number over and this will be the last time we offer this lower pricing. If you’re in the EU and want to own one of these book sets, this is the best chance you’re going to get (we’re the closest to Kickstarter-level EU pricing we’ve ever been/ever will be again).

If you live in Germany (where the books are being sent), click the button below to lock in your order for a book set. Book + Shipping = $120.

If you live in the UK or anywhere else in the EU, use the button below to lock in your order for a book set. Books + Shipping $130.

Please make sure the address you provide me is the valid address you want the book shipped to. If you send the wrong address, you need to email me the correct address before the books ship to their final destination (I will make posts here as we move along towards that point). If you provide us the wrong address, and a book is returned, it will be your responsibility to pay for it to be reshipped from the EU warehouse.

It will take some time to get these books into your hands. As I mentioned, I’m going to start the process of getting the pallet on the boat immediately, even as I collect orders, to minimize total turnaround time. Once I have concrete timeline information, I’ll pass that along, but I just wanted to be clear that this is not a “place your order and you’ll have a book next week” situation.

And as for my Australian/New Zealander readers: I know, shipping a book there sucks too. Let me get see how this round goes, and then I’ll look into doing a similar deal for AUS/NZ.
