Happy Birthday

October 22, 2004 by Tim

Tomorrow is Ctrl+Alt+Del’s second Birthday. Two years ago tomorrow CAD hit the internet for the very first time. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been doing this for two years already. This comic has changed my life in so many ways. It’s at the point now where I just can’t imagine my life without this comic as a part of it. I’ve been able to spend the last two years doing something that I love, something that I love today every bit as much as when I first started. That’s a big deal to me.

So thank each and every one of you for your continued support over the years, and for helping CAD get as far as it has. Here’s to another year together!

If anyone wants to give Ctrl+Alt+Del a birthday present, here’s what you can do instead. Head on over to
Child’s Play and donate a dollar, or donate a small toy. I’ve already had my birthday this year, and I have a great christmas with friends and family to look forward to. But there are a lot of kids who will have to spend their christmas in a children’s hospital this year. Last year Child’s Play raised over $250,000 dollars for the Seattle Children’s Hospital, and this year you have a choice of five hospitals around the United States to donate to.

Furthermore, following the example set by Jon, once the book goes back up for sale, one dollar from every book sold will be donated to the Child’s Play Charity.

This is a really good cause, and it’s something I think everyone in the gaming community should support.

In other news, it looks like Kevin Smith is going to be at the University of Hartford tonight, and I may be going. That should make for quite an interesting evening.
