Infinite Improbability Drive

I saw Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy the other night. I thought it was great. It has been a long time since I read the books, so perhaps I didn’t remember enough to get all nitpicky about “what they changed” or “what they left out”. Overall I enjoyed the movie though. There were a lot of great little nuances you could pick up, and I’m really looking forward to catching it again when it’s out on DVD.

Sam Rockwell was awesome as usual. I think I’ve loved every role I’ve ever seen him play.

The biggest surprise for me was that I really enjoyed Mos Def as Ford Prefect. If you’re into good hip-hop you should check out Black Star (with Talib Kweli) or Black on Both Sides.

Early next Tuesday morning I will be boarding a plane bound for Los Angeles, to attend E3. Between now and then I think I’ll take some time to touch on some of the titles I’m most looking forward to seeing at the show.

Near the top of my list is definite Burnout Revenge. Burnout 3: Takedown still occupies a slot as one of my favorite games ever, so I’m really interested to see what they do this time around.

One of the games that I’m most curious about, but that also carries a lot of skepticism, is Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, a MMO set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. Good things possible, potention to fail, pretty large. We’ll see.

I’ll be sure to take lots of pictures and notes while I’m there.
