Kickstartings

May 29, 2013 by Tim

I’ve recently backed a couple of games on Kickstarter that I wanted to bring to your attention. The first one is called The Stomping Land, and it’s already funded. This project goes ahead with or without your support, but it looks really neat and you may want to get on board.

If I had to describe it in one line, I’d say it’s Day Z with dinosaurs. But really, there’s a lot of crafting and customization here that Day Z doesn’t touch.

The second game just hit Kickstarter, and has a long way to go to hit its goal. It’s called Armikrog. It’s a from the creators of Earthworm Jim, and one of my favorite PC games of all time (directly behind Fallout 1 and 2), The Neverhood. This game is intended to be a spirtual successor to The Neverhood, and is done using clay and stop-motion. With a new soundtrack from Terry Taylor, this game brings back a lot of incredibly fond memories for me, and I really hope it reaches its goal.

Check it out!
