I absolutely devour any tidbit of Mass Effect information that surfaces, so you can imagine when this 15 minute video of new footage, and the first look at the character creator surfaced today, I danced around my office singing a merry little tune. I didn’t actually do that, but you can imagine it. Go ahead, it’s funny.
If there is one game that I am looking forward to more than any other for the rest of 2007, it’s Mass Effect. And that’s a pretty lofty title, given all of the other big titles coming out this fall/winter. Though the competition does seem to be getting smaller each week, what with GTA4 and Age of Conan delayed until 2008.
The problem I’m running into is, currently Mass Effect is scheduled to be released on November 11th. That’s in the future. I, however, am currently stuck in August, in the now. This is clearly an issue, as I’m living in the wrong time period. I’m going to keep working on it though, and I’m sure I’ll figure out a way to get myself to the future. According to my calculations, it should take no more than three months of research and development, and then I’ll be in the future playing Mass Effect. I’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, you can enjoy this 15 minute video of game stuff.
Also I went back and played the Stranglehold demo a few more times (if you beat it on normal, you unlock harder difficulty levels and special moves), and it’s really grown on me. I’m now eagerly anticipating it at the end of the month. Good stuff.
