Memorial

I love the Discovery Channel. One show I’ve really been enjoying lately is How It’s Made. I don’t know how long the show has been running, I’ve just been having my TiVo record it whenever it’s on. I would imagine it’s been running at least a couple of years, because there are a good number of episodes. It’s a neat show, and it brings back all sorts of memories for me of Mr. Rogers and Reading Rainbow, when they’d show you how crayons were made and stuff. Aside from how cool it is to see how this regular everyday stuff gets made by these huge complicated machines, it’s a trip to imagine the amount of work that had to have gone into designing the machines themselves, getting all of the measurements and timing right.

Shadowrun hits shelves tomorrow. That sort of snuck up on me. I’m definitely going to make a point to grab it, because when I played in the beta test a couple of months back the game was already really polished and really fun. I can only imagine it’s had another layer of shine added to it, and though it’s only multiplayer, I think it will be worth picking up.

Alrighty, have a happy Memorial Day everyone. Enjoy your day off.
