Alright, allow me to start off with this. Some of you who read my news post yesterday already know about this.
Basically, I’ve been examining my schedule and my life over the last week or so, and I’ve decided that I could update the comic four times a week instead of just three, and not suffer too much extra strain. There are multiple reasons for this.
First, I love to draw the strip. I would gladly update seven days a week if I didn’t have to work a regular job. I don’t have time to do that, but I’d like to slowly ease myself into updating as much as possible.
Also, if I want to do this for a living, I need to be entertaining as many people as I can, as often as possible. I think four updates a week is a nice round number.
So I’ll add Saturday or Sunday to my update schedule on one condition: We reach half the number of daily visitors in votes over at Top Web Comics. It will take you ten seconds to vote, and it will earn everyone an extra strip each week.
Now, this only counts for today. I don’t really care about the rest of the month, next month etc. If you want to keep voting, be my guest. But today is the golden moment. I’m interested in seeing if we can set some sort of record for amount of votes in one day. That’s where it’s at folks. I want to judge your desire to have more strips, and I’m using TWC as the meter.
So don’t rely on others to vote… take the few seconds and do it yourself, and I’ll boost up my work load and provide you with some weekend funny from now on.
And while you’re over there, vote for Mall Monkeys, ’cause they’re better than us.
Now… on to other news. Today’s strip is for all of those fans who have been crying out for another Ted appearance. I love all of my characters, even the ones I haven’t had a chance to introduce yet. The problem is, I can’t fit them all into every comic, so I have to make decisions. Some characters, like Ted and Scott, get used less often than I would like. Some characters haven’t been used at all yet, and are just sitting on my drawing board waiting to leap into action. The good part is that I’ve got no time limit as far as getting out all of the ideas I have for the strip.
Also, some of your around the forums know that I’ve started playing America’s Army again. If you’re interested in diving on a grenade for the sake of sparing my life, head into the chat room. If I’m there with the AA tag on the end of my name, it usually means that I’m in-game, and I usually have an away message on that tells what server I’m playing in. Feel free to drop by.
