Well, I’m back from my vacation. I hope you guys didn’t miss me too much. The vacation was wonderful. Pictures and such in my journal, if you care about that sort of thing.

I’m getting myself settled back into the regular routine of normal life. I’m starting to rekindle my love of America’s Army. I used to be a pretty dedicated player, and it’s just as much fun as I remember it.

I’ve been hearing a lot lately about the new Battlestar Galactica tv series. It piqued my interest enough to get my mitts on the original miniseries that sparked the revival. So far so good, and if I enjoy it enough I’ll grab the first season on DVD.

Speaking of TV, the second season of The Office with Steve Carell is just as hilarious as the first. The Office is a remake of a british series by the same name. While both are good shows, Steve Carell’s genius is what makes the US version for me. It’s why I’ve followed him since his time on The Daily Show. If you haven’t seen The Office yet, you can grab the first season on DVD (only 6 episodes) for pretty cheap. The show is also available on iTunes.

In a short couple of weeks I’ll be at Vericon, the only actual convention I will be attending in 2006. I hear lots of great things about this con, and on top of that I’m looking forward to it for two reasons. Hanging out with my friend Mookie, and meeting my favorite author George R. R. Martin. And as if that wasn’t enough, they’re hosting official Winter-een-mas events! Cool stuff!
