Winter-een-mas and Thanks

January 30, 2012 by Tim

I hope you’ve all had a great Winter-een-mas so far! This year has been one for the books for me. I had a bunch of friends come stay with me for the weekend. We’re all really spread out around the US and Canada and generally play games together online, so it was really special to have everyone under the same roof for some tabletop/console gaming. It was a blast.

So I’ve been mostly away from the computer all weekend, but I’ve just now caught up on all of my emails, and I have to say thank you. Thank you all so very much for the many, many emails you sent. I’m not able to respond to every single one of them, but I did read them all, and they were amazing.

I’m absolutely thrilled that not only were so many of you receptive to the idea of reading the short story I wrote, but that you enjoyed it as well.

And a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who wrote in to help point out the typos and places where I missed a word. I proofread the story after I finished it, but I was still too close to the writing and my brain was just filling in all of the missing words, etc. I hated having to release it with so many errors, but I crashed right up against my deadline. You guys were such an enormous help with the editing process. The .epub and .mobi files are behind on the fixes, but the .pdf has just been updated with a round of edits.

On Wednesday we will return to business as usual with good ol’ comic strips. Writing and releasing this story was fun, exciting and nervewracking.  That I can try different things like this is one of the reasons I love my job so much, and that you guys came along for the ride with such enthusiasm has put a smile on my face that won’t go away any time soon.

Thank you again!
