A lot of my Australian readers have written in to inform me that Koala’s are not in fact “bears”. They are just Koala.

I guess I never actually assumed they were part of the “bear” family, but “Koala Bear” is just how I’ve always known them. Maybe some reference I picked up as a kid.

Anyway, thanks for correcting me on that! I still love the little buggers, whatever they’re called.
