I honestly hope Scorpio is the last “console refresh” we get for a while. If we get a “Scorpio Slim” next year that I then have to find a way to introduce to the battlefield, I may lose it.

If they DO some out with Scorpio Slim’s, they might just be elite commando’s on the field, wouldn’t they?
Elite commandos that are slightly skinnier than regular Comandoes, but they cost less , have slightly less power, and don’t have a 4K blu ray drive. Essentially a regular soldier….

So I am not sure if I am the only one, but I keep being brought to the PUBG scope page every time I open the site.

We’ve identified a caching problem and made a fix. However it will be tough to gauge its effectiveness until a new comic is posted.

How does the PC master race fit into the Console War lore/universe? Deities? Angelic beings? Overlords? An isolated faction of dudes looking all different? Even if they’re never featured it would be cool if there was allusions of them at one point.
Interesting concept. Most likely some sort of rare and long-living mutant race (at least how the consoles view them). Various species of Dell, HP, Acer, and Lenovo that live lives 6x longer than the average console but have varying specs because of their age… and then there would be… the Hybrids. Self built or computer-shop built. Sporting some of the latest but mismatched hardware, they’d be a combination of JTF2, Delta Force, SAS, and IDF. They’d be ghosts.
Maybe it’s even better to imagine them as androids, instead of mutants.
Pre-built PCs would be just a certain model of droid, while self-built / upgraded PCs could have the same base chassis, but completely different legs, arms, hearth, brain, …
Or as cyborgs, largely the same idea: pre-built PCs are normal people (ranging from thin to muscular), while self-built / upgraded PCs start from that base, but are having more and more cybernetic parts.
Legions of blank-faced clones, brainwashed with spreadsheets and powerpoint slides, led by behemoths drugged up on mods and MMO’s, monsters of terrifying speed and power, unpredictably diverse, constantly changing and adapting to any circumstance – and all of them either seizing up, bursting into flames, falling to pieces or mind-wiping themselves at critical moments.
Fortunately (for everyone concerned) the PCs are only peripherally and sporadically involved in the console war, and most of them pursue their own strange obsessions in vast hives of industry and really, really dull finance.
We’ve seen the PC slightly with ‘The Steam’ as well as Android based systems with the OUYA.
From what I’ve read on Tim’s Twitter he isn’t interested on touching the PC any longer since this is a console war, so that would leave Android based consoles like the Nvidia Shield.
It’d be interesting to seem them in this universe. A small faction that is playing with yesterday’s weapons and a few low powered modern ones.
Somebody on Twitter asked why there’s no PCs and he replied “Because it’s the Console War. Not the Any-Machine-That-Can-Play-Video-Games War. PCs are not consoles.”
Yet both Steam and an Android based system have been featured in the strip, so he has shown that his is flexible with the ‘console’ rule.
There is a Steam console. That is not flexibility.

I think the issue might be caused by Chrome, where I normally use this website. I still get the PUBG comic every time I load the website using cad-comic.com.
However, I tried on IE and Edge and both loaded on the latest comic.
Hope this helps narrow down the issue. Maybe an old cookie?

You should just do what any sensible person does; ignore mid-gen upgrades. With little to no exclusives and additional features to justify the massive pricetag of re-buying a console at release price, I can’t fathom why anyone except the people who never picked up the original console would ever consider mid-gens worth talking about.
All they are is a fancy new case with bigger numbers.
Some people only buy once the mid-gen console comes out. “Look at the PS3 I bought!” Uh, yeah, you bought an original on sale as the price dropped because the new one came out and you’re playing 4y/o games… I finished that a few years ago…
I can’t tell what your comment is about. Are you mocking people who wait a few years for prices to go down and then catch up on the games at discounted prices, or are you saying that those people should buy the mid-gen upgrade?
If it’s the first, that just comes down to preference and social pressure. If you don’t care about playing the cool game of the week, it makes sense to wait. Most consoles have terrible launches anyway.
If it’s the second, you should consider supporting your argument.
so, for some reason the previous button doesn’t seem to be working and I can only view whatever comic is on top at the moment. it’s been like this since the new layout went live.

the forward for which comic you’re sent to by going on the main page (Cad-comic.com) seems to be hanging quite by about a strip … the last couple of days I’ve fairly consistently been sent to the second-most recent comic instead of the most recent.
If the scorpio is like the hulk, then the scorpio slim could be a refined version of the serum that makes them equally as vicious, but cunning as well. Like a Predator(tm) that tears apart older consoles with its claws
Definitely some growing pains on the new site, my link to the new comic is bringing me to the the one from a few days ago I think, and then I hit the “last” button which takes me to the PUBG comic which I can then page forward to get to the actual new comic.
The new site is not exactly ready for prime time, hope you get the issues worked out.
Why “XB-003”? If it is referring to major generation this would be fourth generation wouldn’t it? Unless original Xbox is classified as “XB-000”?

There is a new comic every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You likely have an old version of the website cached. We’ve been having a bit of trouble with that. Try clearing your cache.
