Hoo boy, have I got some new shirts for you. Eight of them, to be exact. It’s like shirts are raining from the sky or something. We’ve finally got the new character tees in stock, along with a new set of Players shirts. I want to send a big thank you shout-out to all my […]

More west

by Tim

I really enjoyed Call of Juarez. It wasn’t a perfect game, but it’s immersive first-person perspective and wild-west setting really grabbed my attention. It was a fun little game. The new Call of Juarez is coming out soon, and if it delivers more of the same, I’ll be a happy cowboy.

Wrap your lips around a jug!

May 13, 2009 by Tim

I’ve been carrying this one around in my head for a couple of months. At a staff party celebrating the close of another successful Digital Overload, the topic of Bawls came up. Britanny said “Someone should make a drink called ‘boobs’.” I started tossing out packaging concepts and pitch slogans, and Bewbsâ„¢ was born. If […]

One of those thingies

May 11, 2009 by Tim

So I finally figured out how to stream my desktop. Durr. Ok, that’s enough for now. Thanks for tuning in everyone! Now that I know how to stream the desktop as I draw, I’ll try and do it every once in a while. For those that missed it, I was working on the cover for […]

One of these days Transformers deserves to get a good video game. Is this it? I don’t know. It doesn’t look terrible, but it is a movie tie-in. And it’s a tie-in to a Michael Bay movie. I enjoyed the first Transformers film, way more than I thought I would. It might have […]

So after working over at the house this morning, I came home and diligently played a couple stages of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, so that I could tell you guys what I thought of it. Of course, you can form your own opinion, there’s a demo up on XBL. You’ll likely come to the same conclusion […]

Bionic Commando

April 29, 2009 by Tim

Tried out the multiplayer demo on XBL. Can’t say I was too impressed. Grappling/swinging, which is an integral part of the experience, seemed too clunky in a versus setting. Maybe it’s better suited to the single player portion of the game.

So I believe that today is the official release date for ‘This Is A Great Idea: Ctrl+Alt+Del Volume One’ in book stores. Some places did release it early, I’ve been getting emails for the last week or so that people have seen it on shelves in their local bookstores/comic book shops. But as of […]

UFC

April 27, 2009 by Tim

Looks like I’ll have to add UFC: Undisputed to my list of must-have titles coming up. I played the demo this evening and I thought it was pretty fantastic. Really reminded me of the fun we had with UFC on the Dreamcast. Good show, THQ. Good show.

I will admit, I am thankful that there is not a barrage of great new releases hitting the market while I’m stuck in my fantasy world playing construction worker. There’s only so much “Let’s see how quickly I can tear up the floor in this room, and then try to beat that record” that you […]

Observation

April 22, 2009 by Tim

When you play a video game, most of the enjoyment comes from the experience, the play-through. You have fun working your way to the end, and then when you get there (for most games) the ending is a let-down. The process of renovating, everything leading up to the ending, sucks. But when you finally get […]

Don’t worry!

April 17, 2009 by Tim

Apparently quite a few electricians reading! The two marretted cables in the picture are from an electrical outlet that was in a half-wall I removed. They will be relocated to a new box once I decide on another location for the outlet. No need to worry, there will be no floating wires when I put […]

A while back I got an email from Mike, the father of a little girl named Marissa who suffers from Infantile Spasms. Mike asked me if I would be interested in hosting a bunny to help raise awareness for this serious epileptic condition. Helping out a great cause and a plush bunny? Absolutely. I’d never […]

Infinity

by Tim

Hey, does anyone here play Infinity? I absolutely love the miniatures, and I’ve skimmed the rules, but I’m interested is getting some opinions from players on gameplay/fun factor. Shoot me an email.

No it isn’t

by Tim

So I’ve been a homeowner for two weeks now, and the renovations are well underway. I feel like, in the nearly seven years I’ve been drawing this comic strip, I’ve managed to retain a healthy level of appreciation for what I get to do for a living. I still wake up every day thankful that […]

Congratulations, Pierre!

April 10, 2009 by Tim

Big congrats to Pierre, who welcomed his new daughter Anais into the world yesterday morning. After a bit of a rough delivery, both mother and daughter are doing well and recovering at the hospital. Congratulations, Pierre, and good luck!

Where is never?

April 6, 2009 by Tim

I’m back in the office today after spending all day for the last five days working on the new house. I’m going to ask you guys now to be patient with me for the next few weeks. My two top priorities at the moment are the main comic strip and the new house, and I’m […]

Wow

April 5, 2009 by Tim

It’s remarkable how fast buying a house goes from “Fuck yeah! I just bought a huge fort to play in! Awesome!” to “Holy shit, I just bought a huge pile of work to do.”

I claim this land with a flag

April 1, 2009 by Tim

Ahh, first day of the renovation project. Let’s see, I’ve got a case of Killians and a reciprocating saw. Looks like I’m all set. Off to the new house!

I is adult now?

March 30, 2009 by Tim

The last three months or so have been pretty… interesting. Around late January is when the insane Digital Overload planning crunch starts to take hold. Suddenly you realize that you’ve only got four weeks left until your event, and there’s a ton of stuff that needs to come together so that it isn’t an awful […]

Team Challenge

March 28, 2009 by Tim

I wanted to post a reminder that my sister is running a half marathon to benefit the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. She is accepting donations through Team Challenge for the foundation, if you have a couple of bucks to spare.

OnLive

March 25, 2009 by Tim

So obviously OnLive is causing a pretty big stir in the video games community, and with good reason. It’s a fascinating concept that could revolutionize gaming. However it also stirs up a lot of fears and concerns and doubts that are all perfectly legitimate. The implications and possibilities (and possible failures) of a system like […]

Demo-licious

March 23, 2009 by Tim

I downloaded a couple of XBL demos over the weekend. First was Vin Diesel’s Wheelman, because I’d been hearing (surprisingly) positive impressions of it. It wasn’t too bad. It is sort of like a rough mix between GTA and Burnout I suppose. There was some enjoyment there though, there were some neat ideas (the car […]
