The greek are insane

July 12, 2005 by Tim

You’d think that for being such a monumental building block in civilization as we know it today, they would be a little bit less retarded. Or maybe that just totally explains why society is so fucked up… Hmmm. Either way, I’m never going to Greece. Bunch of animals over there. Edit: Yes, people, I know […]

No. Just… No.

July 11, 2005 by Tim

I don’t care how “oober 1337 dewd” you think your server is. I’m not just going to drop my character and move to another server just so you can play WoW with me and have me in your guild and spend the entire time I’m trying to play the game bugging me with questions about […]

I’ll be at ConnectiCon in Hartford, Connecticut this weekend. I’ll be doing panels, and hanging out in the dealers room talking to fans. I’m also getting auctioned off for a good cause. Want to have dinner with your favorite webcomic artist? Make sure you stop by the auction Saturday evening. I’ll be announcing the Ctrl+Alt+Del […]

HAHAHAHA!

by Tim

I’ll make a real newspost when I wake up today, but for now… this is just too funny. This one goes out to all of the jerks that spit in the faces of our soldiers. It’s not the most intellectual exhange, but damn if it isn’t fun to watch. I love seeing people like Crook […]

EA/Dice have instructed all of the server rental agencies to rollback their servers to the pre-1.01 install. This means that the only way to remove the 1.01 patch and play on any of the servers is to reinstall Battlefield 2. Ugh.

BF2 Patch not ready

July 8, 2005 by Tim

The patch was tested today and deemed not ready for release. Have to wait a little bit longer, I guess.

Ok, here is the deal. ConnectiCon hosts the Webcomic Challenge where webcomic authors and their fans compete against eachother for prestige, power, and women*. Ctrl+Alt+Del won last year and we want to win again. I’m going to assemble a team of six fans to help me represent CAD in the challenge. You must already be […]

Ok first up, the books. Two issues. Right now I am in the middle of the proofing process. This is the time when I send them the files, they send it back to me in semi-book form, I review it for errors, send it back to them, they fix the errors and send it back […]

BF2 Patch Today

July 6, 2005 by Tim

EA expects the first Battlefield 2 patch to be released today at about noon PST. No mention of a fix for the red name bug though. God I hate that glitch. While you wait for the patch to hit, entertain yourself by watching this.

For FireFox

by Tim

I hope most of you are already using FireFox, and have long since dumped Internet Explorer for the clunky, unsecure piece of shit that it is. If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? Because this is some hot shit. It’s a toolbar just for CAD. From anywhere on the internet you can jump straight […]

On Medics

July 2, 2005 by Tim

Ok, listen up all you would-be medics. Here’s a quick lesson for you. First of all, stop throwing your fucking bags all over the place. You don’t HAVE to throw the bag to heal someone. All you have to do is hold it out and you will heal nearby teammates. “Here, get first aid!” “Here, […]

To ribbons

July 1, 2005 by Tim

So I was sort of disappointed with Batman Begins. Not the movie, the video game. I loved the movie, but the video game just… I dunno… leaves something to be desired. When I saw it in action at E3, I knew they were taking the right approach to it, in what seemed to be almost […]

Battlefield 2 Servers

June 29, 2005 by Tim

If you want to be a part of the CAD/8BT Battlefield 2 community, and gain access to the private servers, here is what to do: 1. Sign up on the CAD Forums. 2. Once your sign-up is complete, go into the User CP. 3. Locate the “Paid Subscriptions” option on the menu. 4. Subscribe to […]

So I’ve been talking a lot about Battlefield 2 lately, because it’s the primary game I’m playing in my free time right now. The busy season for CAD is coming to a close, as I wrap up the last of the work I have to do on the books (at least until they ship, anyway). […]

Private server password

June 28, 2005 by Tim

The password has been sent out. If you donated for the Battlefield 2 servers, be sure to check the email address associated with your Paypal account.

Also we have a public CAD/8BT European server, which might provide better ping for overseas players/fans. The server name is CAD/8BT Public EU01.

The ranked CAD/8BT server is online. It is public, so it will most likely be full. The server name is CAD/8BT Ranked US01. If you just do a search for CAD it should come up. The private servers are online, and I will be emailing donators the passwords shortly. Once everything with these servers is […]

Battlefield 2 Servers Update

June 27, 2005 by Tim

Ok, here is what is happening with the server situation. While it IS possible to get a private, ranked server, and there ARE passworded ranked servers out there, none of the official server providers are selling them that way. The reason is because EA has issued a statement to all server providers informing them that […]

The button was giving an error. Should work fine now. Two things: Yes, it will be very easy for someone to pitch in their $5 and then give the password to their friends as well. There is no way around this, and I expect it. But look at it realistically. If 64 people pitch in […]
