That is about being afraid of being hurt not wanting to break up with her. Now the scene where he is pining after Lilah after their first date is a different story.

I don’t think that Ethan has to dress up like a villian. If Zeke knows who he is, thanks to this comic page, https://cad-comic.com/comic/analog-and-d-pad-05-22/ and finds out about him and Emily, he will most likely kidnap her.
True, but that would be a bit counterproductive. Emily’s unlikely to improve her opinion of superheroes when she finds herself kidnapped purely because Ethan wanted to be a superhero.
I get the feeling more that Zeke is going to use that controllerang to cause a bit of wild chaos for Ethan, in Analog’s name. You know, throw it at some high-ranking government official while Analog and D-Pad are traveling in the area, making it look like they did it.
Also, I get the feeling that Emily’s going to find out Ethan’s a super the hard way. Probably involving Ethan pushing Emily out of the way of some debris and getting hit in the process, only to respawn somewhere nearby. Just my guess.
That’s honestly not nearly as outlandish I expected him to go. That’s just normal crazy. Not ETHAN crazy. I was expecting something more along the lines of “I’ll clone an evil version of myself so that he becomes a villain and then I’ll save her from myself thereby proving to her that the REAL me is a good guy!”

In retrospect you’d think Mary Jane would have had a much different reaction to finding out her best-friend-at-the-time was low-key stalking her and was responsible for putting her into situations of bodily harm.

@Tim I’ll be on for sure. I enjoyed the first Division. Excited for the “updates” to the game.

And this is the perfect start of a classic villain arc. So will Ethan become the villain or will he stay true to being the hero he wants? I vote for the anti-hero path myself or to use RPG terms. Could he go Lawfully Evil in an attempt to show his true feelings? Its a fine line between ying and yang.

I mean, the flaws here should be obvious even for Ethan.
After all, a good swoop is hard to time, and its the villain who swoops not the hero.

Ah Lucas, he is so ready for the moments when Ethan might show that he has grown as an individual. This is a man with an unending amount of patience.

How can someone so fucking stupid and/or insane live to adulthood is a mystery. I know, “Oh, Ethan! You’re so silly!” is what you’re going for here, Tim, but at this point it’s just frustrating and frankly unrealistic to see him be like this; someone this fucked in the head would have been involuntarily stuck in a mental health facility YEARS ago, and the fact that he hasn’t hurt or KILLED anyone in his regular life is a miracle. He’s also a really shitty superhero, to be honest; he’s not physically fit or skilled in any martial arts, and his… Read more »
I think differently; old Ethan wasn’t just crazy, but outright sociopathic in the early days and totally willing to harm his friends for his own ends. This Ethan is the same universe where evil ninja robots exist and probably aren’t even in the upper echelon of crazy things people have heard of, so it flies for me.
You don’t get out much, do you? Sadly, there *are* people as stupid as Ethan is portrayed, and some even worse, in the real world.

Hey, curious, do you get ad revenue only if we click on them, or just for us seeing them on the site.
‘Cause I will totally click on them if that’s the only way you get paid.
Its takes me the better part of a day to draw a comic. So if I were to start going back and redrawing older comics, production on new comics would halt. And then where does it end? My art style is constantly evolving, changing. By the time I spent years redrawing all the comics, I’d have to start over again because my art style would be different again.
Lucas… YOU KNOW GIVING ETHAN SOME TIME TO FIGURE IT OUT NEVER WORKS
“Hold on, give him a chance.”
“Okay, that one’s on me.”
So much for Lucas faith in Ethan getting repaid. XD
You would think by now that Lucas would know exactly where Ethan’s brain is going to go.
On the other hand, it is ALWAYS interesting to see where those mental trains end up…
Reminds me of Will and Grace:
“Hold on, I’m interested in seeing where this particular synaptic misfire leads…”
lol yes, this is basically the Brain asking Pinky if he thinks the same thing as him
Could just break up with her, seeing as that’s what he wants anyway.

Think he’s going to fake his death to get out of the relationship but forget that she regularly delivers to the store?
Technically wouldn’t be faking his death ^^
Wasn’t there some of Ethan’s blood on it? Maybe enough for XBot to make a clone off the DNA?
If you recall, his blood returns to him after he dies. I don’t think anyone can permanently store his blood.
Depends on how long ago it was lost..
https://cad-comic.com/comic/deposit/
Why did i KNOW he was gonna say that?
And Ethan’s brain derails like that rollercoaster did.
And yes I still close nearly every car do I reasonably can as I move. There’s something strangely therapeutic about it.
On the other hand you can track my progress through FO76 by the trail of explosions and burnt out wrecks as I blow up every car/truck/bus possible.
It’s self-defense: those vehicles are EVIL

Hey Tim. Was rereading the comics from the archive. 2002 and 2003. You ever think about redoing them in your newer art style?
