My thoughts, too.

At least she didn’t spray-paint anything on the whole front window.

I’d prefer spray-paint over broken glass, it’s easier and safer to clean.

Somehow, I thought you were trying to say spraypainting broken glass makes it safer to clean, and I got very confused.

I had my car window shattered in a smash and grab last week.

This was pretty much my reaction. I put my stuff in the back seat, walked to the front, opened the door, and had a brief thought of, “That’s not how I left my car… is it?” Took a moment for my brain to register the shattered glass and realize what happened.

Same here. And all they scored were my vision corrected sunglasses and nightglasses. What a score

While not quite the same but along the same lines:

I was stopped in traffic one day on my way to work on a divided 4 lane controlled access highway. All of a sudden I feel a big “WHUMMP” from the back of my truck.

The next thing I know is I am in the median looking the opposite direction and saying to myself, “Well, that’s not good.”

I’ve had just the “smash” part happen as well — got into the minivan and noticed a little bit of a breeze and then noticed that the rear window was shattered.

Went around back and discovered that someone driving down the street had chucked a pumpkin through the window (presumably from a moving car).

Most confusing part was wondering where they’d gotten a pumpkin that wasn’t rotted in December.

Welp, time to call the cops. Hope they got insurance.

But can they? The eyes of the police would be bad for them. They are vigilantes, and ben would be hit with collateral. Even not reporting is a kind of suspicious if it ever was noticed, would flag as something shady is potentially there.

Not reporting it to the police voids any chance of an insurance claim paying for replacing the windows.
And doing the normal thing is a better way of looking like everybody else instead of someone special.

Opportunity to upgrade to the Best tempered super-stopping glass you ca get! Can write it off as a business expense too, seeing recent events!

Well, considering they didn’t get an alert of an alarm breach, I’d say patrolling or superhero fight club is the least of their concerns. Probably should secure home turf before trying to project power elsewhere. They can’t even use powers at home locations without identity association. If they called in their new buddies, so they can maintain dual identity, can fully see Nicole trying to claim the victim. Maybe even Prime seeing them as minor villains, as excuse to remove or legitimate misunderstanding. This feels ominous in eye-gouging ways.

I like how everyone is directly pointing fingers at Nicole.

It would be funny if Tim goes a different route and the damage was done by someone else.

As for the Vigilante team up, I am a bit surprised that they don’t consider the possibility of a trap, especially since they didn’t know their names. Sure, there is very few reason for someone to trick them like this but it could be an option?
Also, I think the largest issue might come from different values. Like who and what to prioritize in certain situations.

They did know Replica and his reputation as a hero, which would make me lean toward “not a trap”. But It’s a comic, it could still go either way despite this!

Does anyone remember the original Thunderbolts comic twist in issue 1? Team of new superheroes, after the Avengers and Fantastic Four were “killed off,” led by a legacy hero was really not who they appeared to be.

Does a double bamboozle and it turns out it WAS Nicole who turned up to the store, but she got attacked by someone trying to get to Ethan and their scuffle broke the glass.

It would be funny, but so far there aren’t many characters that a) hate Ethan or Lucas as themselves and b) willing to commit vandalism. With the weeb master down, no supervillain knows where they live.
It still can be new villain, or random attacks on game stores (again?), it just seems unlikely

The glass shards are on the… outside?

Clearly it was that dastardly window that maliciously seduced the poor gullible Ethan away from the best girlfriend ever. It had to go.

Hmmm weird tought but – the broken glass remains are outside, not inside, should this show/hint that it was broken from the inside?

Not a lot of signage either – I see one poster. Not even one for their hours. First hit was the door, unlocked it because shops in this supervillain and crime infested city don’t have gates for some reason, then messed it up from the inside.

The broken glass

There are light spots on the sidewalk underneath the outer two window damage

It’s pretty clear, I picked up on it right away

My monitor must be on too bright a setting; a good squint showed me a few white spots.

I was having problems with that for months- HDR monitors looked great in gaming, trash on desktop. Setting auto-HDR in windows settings, turning it off on the monitor itself, and installing “Windows HDR Calibration” app finally fixed it for me.

Broken glass is on the outside. If someone threw something at the window from outside the broken glass would end up inside.

This is either a flaw in a story/illustration detail or someone inside was upset, in which case where’s the objects that were thrown through the window?

Scrolling through the comments and a very good point was made. How many video game stores have you seen with no signage in the window? Clearly this store is a front! Need to get some posters up so the cops don’t suspect anything.
