Welcome to the world of Total war where one more turn become 20 more and 2 hours later. I see you have the high elves biggest obstacle to world conquest, those damn confederations never go through.
All I have left on this run is Yvresse and Ellyrion at the moment. I want to confederate, but I also like that they form an insulating buffer around my current territories, so they can deal with the Cult of Pleasure while I get rich and handle Rituals.
We’ve all suffered from this same disease. Many a night has been lost waiting for that “one more turn” to end, but instead it just keeps coming.

Get well soon Tim! Personally I found it helpful to put a clicklock on my mouse. After so many turns it will stop clicking and thus forcing me to take a rest. Should you wish to get one yourself, it’s more commonly known as “Crap, I broke my mouse due to excessive use!” . Therefor a cheap low quality Ali-Express mouse comes with a built in clicklock. A feature that the more expensive types seem to be lacking. Logitech, for instance, refuses to install clicklocks. Have you used Yvresse? Their campaign mechanic (the prison) is great. Honestly though, all DLC lords, especially more recent ones, are massively more padded with interesting mechanics than the vanilla lords, with the worst offender of all being the Brass Bull…

Also the whole elven arc in end times was some of the best Story writing warhammer has seen in a long time.

I too once suffered Just-One-More-Turn Disease for playing the high elves in TW:Warhammer 2. I suggest to you Tim to stop trying to get the Everqueen to agree with uniting and just take over so you can focus more on completely destroying and removing the Dark Elf menace!

Yeah I can’t remember which high elf kept giving me trouble in forming a confederate, but I think the nation ended up being too weak to be a threat for a bit so I just went ahead and began taking out the Dark Elves. I still kept one or two regiments around there though in case they decide to declare war, or if one of their places got taken over by rebels or a weak rival nation to where I can swoop in to liberate, and then make that other nation declare peace(since I can just go out of my… Read more »

Ahh, Total Warhammer. The one place of sanctuary available to us old beards who got fucked over by GW with Age of Shitmar and it’s ground marines. Call me bitter all you want I was Bretonnian player, last edition (8th) fucked us over and no update on army book, even erratas ingored us, pointy ears got extra points in specials to represent old rules, where was the equivalent to Brets? No old world, GW can choke on their over priced plastic.

Been playing a Taurox campaign and holy shit the Beastman are way better after this update, super underwhelming when they originally came out but I can take on 3 full stacks just with his army in Very Hard. Even giants seem to have been buffed significantly and they’ve long been panned as the worst Tier 4 monsters.
I actually ended up getting Avelorn surprisingly early on this run. For some reason Yvresse is now the last, stubborn holdout (they were always super easy confederates in earlier attempts), despite Naggarond slowly devouring them, they don’t want to be absorbed.
