Not from concentrate

So there’s a new game that’s battling Thief 3 for my free time. Actually, it’s not even a full game. It’s a demo. The multiplayer demo for Chaos League was released yesterday.

I’d honestly never heard of this game before I came across the demo, but I’m a sucker for fantasy sports games. It’s why Deathrow is easily one of my favorite games on the XBox.

Chaos League, reminiscent of the Mutant League series on the Sega Genesis, is a simple football-type game with heavy emphasis on using drugs, brutality and bribes to win each match. Add in that the teams consist of dwarves, elves, goblins and the like, and it seems like a pretty nifty game.

I only started playing it last night. I went through some of the tutorials, and just goofed around. I’ll need to give it some more play time to truly form an educated opinion about it, and decide whether or not I’ll pick it up when it comes out, but it’s pretty cool so far. If it interests you, you should check it out.

I’m only going to accept applications for the ConnectiCon CAD Team for a couple of more days. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, read Wednesday’s newspost.

Just as I suspected, I got flooded with applications. It’s going to be very difficult choosing. Regardless of who gets chosen for the team, I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at the convention.

The book is currently at the printer. All of the covers have already been printed, and they are now printing the pages. If all goes well, I hope to have the book by the end of this month or early next month, so that I can start shipping them.
