The events

January 22, 2007 by Tim

So the word on the street (and by ‘street’, I mean ‘not the street’), is that the Crackdown demo is now scheduled to arrive tomorrow at 2am PST. So, conceivably, by this time tomorrow we’ll be Super Cops. Speaking of, Winter-een-mas starts this Thursday. As I posted a couple of weeks ago, for each day […]

We’ve opened up tournament pre-registration for Digital Overload 2007. If you’ve registered and paid for your badge, you can now log into your account and sign up for the tournaments you’d like to participate in. For the team tournament games, you can each sign up with the name of your team (please use the same […]

CADMedia Writers

January 17, 2007 by Tim

We’re looking for some new writers for CADMedia. If you’re interested in writing about video games, go ahead and shoot us an application and we’ll look it over.

So imagine my elation when I found out that HBO has acquired the rights to turn my favorite books of all time into a series. That’s right, A Song of Ice and Fire is coming to TV. As a huge fan of other HBO series like Six Feet Under, Deadwood, Oz and Entourage, I’m really […]

Nooooooooooooooooooo! /Vader

January 16, 2007 by Tim

Fuck. The Crackdown demo is “going through the final steps of the certification process, pushing the scheduled release by several days”, according to a Microsoft press release I just received. They say it should still be out before the end of January though. Oh well… Lost Planet is pretty good.

I’m back from vacation. We had an absolutely wonderful time. It was exactly what I needed, a very relaxing and carefree break from things. I feel rested and recharged. It was a really great getaway, Jamaica was gorgeous, and we were sad when the week was over, but at the same time, I’m happy to […]

Blackout

January 5, 2007 by Tim

Begin transmission. We are beginning our orbit into the dark side of the moon. Radio silence will commence momentarily. This will be our last communication for a while, ground control. As of Sunday, Britanny and I are heading down to Jamaica for a week on vacation. Comic strips are done and uploaded for the next […]

All together now!

January 3, 2007 by Tim

Just a heads up that I’ll be going on vacation for a week starting this coming Sunday. I’ve just finished up the comics for the next two weeks, so updates won’t skip a beat. ‘Tis the Winter-een-mas season, and the holiday will be here before you know it. If you’re curious about celebrating, head on […]

Ctrl+Alt+Del Video Game

January 1, 2007 by Tim

I meant to post this earlier, but it slipped my mind. A fan by the name of John Fowler has undertaken the creation of a CAD video game fan project, and I believe a few others have offered their assistance. I’m not involved, but I have checked out the screens and I’ve gotta say, it […]

Happy 2007

by Tim

Happy New Year, everyone. I hope everyone had a fun and safe celebration last night. We’re now two weeks away from the January 16th cutoff date for Digital Overload registration. You will be able to register after that, but the price goes up, and the free t-shirt isn’t included in registration. We’ve updated the DO2007 […]

They’re orbish

December 29, 2006 by Tim

It may be a little bit early for a Crackdown comic, what with the demo not coming out until January 18th, and the game not hitting shelves until mid-February. But the Winter-een-mas story will take all of January, and I couldn’t wait until early February to do a comic about the game. Today’s comic came […]

Post and Pre Holiday

December 27, 2006 by Tim

So I think one of my New Year’s resolutions will be to try and take it easy on Sony in 2007. I didn’t even plan today’s comic to be directed at them, but I just couldn’t help myself. I guess they’ve made it pretty easy. I had a great Christmas, and I hope you all […]

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

December 25, 2006 by Tim

Merry Christmas, everyone. I take Christmas off from work, so it’s just filler art today. But I recorded the entire thing and sped it up 600%, as a Christmas present for you. I thought you might get a kick out of watching the artwork be created. I had to split it onto two parts, because […]

Almost forgot

You can also get the PC version of Psychonauts off Steam for $20, if that’s your cup of tea. It’s sort of a platformer adventure game, so I preferred to play it on my console, but any way you take it, Psychonauts is gold. Also, if you need more convincing, it was created by Tim […]

Last week the Xbox 360 backwards compatibility list was updated, and it included (finally) one of the only two games I was waiting for to become playable on my 360: Psychonauts (the other being The Warriors). If you’ve never played Psychonauts, you need to. In my opinion it’s one of the most brilliant, under-appreciated, humorous […]

Winter-een-mas shirts and hoodies

December 21, 2006 by Tim

We’ve made the 2007 generation of Winter-een-mas shirts available. I’ve removed the year (2007) from the design this time, unlike the last two WEMas shirt designs. Though I felt putting the year on each shirt made for a nice collectable item (since we only offer WEMas shirts for a limited time each year), it made […]
