Like molasses, baby!

November 8, 2005 by Tim

We know that the website/forums are running slowly. Trust me, we are just as frustrated with it as you are. Unfortunately, this is part of the process for launching a new website design. We can design anything we want on our computers, or our test server, and have it running great with the whole 2-3 […]

Surprise!

by Tim

Remember those big announcements I’ve been talking about for the last few months? Well this is one of them. When I first started Ctrl+Alt+Del, it launched on a clumsy, slow, pure-html website that I had cobbled together from various internet tutorials In early 2003, I was fortunate enough to have some fans, Aaron Stockton and […]

Scrubs

November 7, 2005 by Tim

Ok, so apparently Scrubs is still being made. They just aren’t starting to air the fifth season yet. I’ve heard January-ish.

Street team

I need someone to clarify something for me. And I realize that by asking someone to clarify something for me, I am inviting hundreds of emails to crash into my inbox in a torrent of helpful intention. And I welcome it. I hope this illustrates the urgency and depth of my curiosity on the matter. […]

Central service

November 4, 2005 by Tim

I’m well aware that the PS2 operates currently without any sort of central online service, and that most games have no subscription fee. However, in my opinion, what makes online games fun is playing with good people. With Xbox Live, or a similar service, when you come across good people, you can add them to […]

The goods

by Tim

For those of you wondering what a “unified online service” would entail, think of Xbox Live. All online games you play on the Xbox pass through Xbox Live in some form or another. You pay a single subsciption fee. You have a single username and password. Obviously Xbox Live is making the transition to the […]

Just because it’s not in the headlines anymore, doesn’t mean it’s over. Help is still needed with recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Katrina down south. If you are able and willing to volunteer your time in the Mississippi area, please follow this link.

Fall is sort of a bitch. It’s around this time that we get absolutely bombarded with excellent new titles from every direction imagineable. Most companies purposely schedule their games to launch in time for the christmas rush, and with obvious reason. Last year was downright painful. Doom 3, Half-Life 2 and World of Warcraft all […]

Happy Halloween

October 31, 2005 by Tim

I hope everyone is having a happy Halloween. Let me touch on The Burning Crusade for a moment. Some people misunderstood my comment about Blizzard being lazy declaring the Blood Elves as the new Horde race. It has nothing to do with the Blood Elves as denizens of Azeroth. I know full well they were […]

Blood Elves, eh?

October 28, 2005 by Tim

What’s the new Alliance race going to be? Blue Orcs? Happy-fun-time Trolls? Heck, why even do that much work? Just give dwarves some different beard options and call them, oh, I dunno, Blood Dwarves. Way to be lazy, Blizzard.

Shadow of the Colossus is absurd in it’s beauty. Once you get past the rough, pixelated textures, and the somewhat awkward control scheme for jumping and grabbing things, you get to the fluid animation and ability to kill very large lumbering monstrosities of stone and flesh. Good stuff. I played some more of it last […]

All work and no play…

October 27, 2005 by Tim

I decided not to put up a newspost earlier because I wanted to talk about the games I’m playing right now, but I’ve been so busy with work I’ve hardly played them! So I took the day “off” to put in some time with these new games, which coincidentally is still part of my job […]

Oh no…

October 25, 2005 by Tim

They’re planning a Sin City Television Series. On the one hand, “Cool! More Sin City!”. On the other hand, “WHAT THE FUCK!?”. Sin City on network television will be nowhere NEAR as gritty, violent, raw and gruesome as Sin City is supposed to be. So unless this is coming to HBO or somesuch, this is […]
